A really great spot for affordable & delicious dining. Highly recommend trying the deep fried fungi and the homemade tang yuan was a must (pictured)! Staff was lovely. As a bonus I loved the attention to detail with the books & binders of information on the Yunnan province!

A lovely gem in Chinatown. We often have crossing the bridge noodles at home in Ontario, so it was nice to find a restaurant that offered them in Victoria. Service was just extraordinary. The lady working today was so kind to not only us, but all the customers around. The chilli chicken dish, soup noodles, and tang yoon were all delicious. It was nice to see so many locals enjoy a meal at a Chinese restaurant that truly serves traditional cuisine. If I lived in Victoria, I would definitely be a regular.

Ordered traditional one, but didn’t taste good. The ingredients were frozen, and it was too oily even though I asked for less oil. But I love the side dishes, which they have full portion size and individual size, that was awesome for someone like me who wanna try everything on the menu.

You NEED to eat here. The food was so good it left me speechless. I am vegan and they were able to suggest delicious options for me. I had the stewed soy sauce noodles which were so tasty and chewy and satisfying. I also had the special crispy tofu which has delicious sauce. As a dessert I tried their tang yuan which is chewy and comforting, and tremella stew which is light and really different from anything I’ve had before. The deserts are not too sweet, they are perfect. I cannot recommend this place anymore! The service was also amazing and so incredibly friendly and welcoming.

If you’re here for aesthetic IG photos, you’re at the wrong place. HOWEVER, if you’re here for delicious home cooking and the nicest people, you’re in the RIGHT PLACE! I can be on the picky side when it comes to food but this restaurant is amazing. Everything is seasoned to perfection and the broth left me dreaming for more. According to the menu, their chicken broth is simmered for 8+ hours to get the perfect flavour. Their homemade tang yuan is chewy perfection with a perfect balance of filling and sugar. My only regret is not being hungrier before I got here. I am so happy and I’m definitely coming back on the way to the ferry!

The Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle is really good, but I actually prefer the no soup rice noodle with soft tofu! The flavours and textures were delicious. Not pictured, but I highly recommend the traditional cured beef dish and also pickled vegetables. Warning, the pickled vegetables are addictingly spicy!

This is a gem in Chinatown. I found delicious vegan food here. The stewed soy sauce noodle is quite tasty. Typical vegan noodles tend to be bland, but this restaurant is exceptional. They use mushrooms to create delicious flavor which surpasses meat dishes in my opinion. My husband had the vegan crossing bridge noodle. The mushroom based broth is tasty. The price is lower than other restaurants. A noodle dish only costs 12 dollars. In Victoria, a main dish typically costs 15 CAD$. Friendly staff. I would go back again. I hope they develop more vegan choices in the future.

Good food and service whether dining in or take out! The broth of the crossing bridge noodles is very flavourful, and a fun experience to mix in each ingredient yourself. Wontons are generously filled and tasty. Definitely try a dessert or two. I’m hoping to be able to try the rose pastry (it was out of stock on my last two visits). The glutinous rice pudding was just the right amount of sweetness and wonderfully warm. Looking forward to my next meal here!
