A	Addison Aspilla on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While I'm sure on most days ice cream service is great at Hatley Scoops, unfortunately in the late afternoon of Saturday June 25, 2016 the service was unsatisfactory. Either the signage, process, or specific staff need to be improved, retrained, and/or replaced. After ordering and paying for ice cream; customers must repeat their order again at the "Pick Up" window. Unfortunately the cashier failed to inform customers like ourselves this process, and we ended up standing in front of the pick up window for an unreasonable amount of time; unsure of what to do next. I was personally carrying a toddler excited for her ice cream; and not one of the three standing behind the pick up window took iniative to inform guests what to do next. After waiting and waiting in the hot sun (with an excited toddler it feels like an eternity), I went back to the order window in which the cashier apologized for not telling us the process. Instead, we asked for a refund and went to Menchies. The cashier unpleasantly gave the refund. While on less busy and quiet days; this process may work. However on busy days with a live band playing loudly in the background, it would make sense to simplify the process by having cashiers send the order directly to a staff person to scoop and give to customers. Furthermore, although the day was hot and busy, the front line cashier should have maintained the highest level of customer service and composure at a resort like the Blue Mountains to avoid unnecessary escalations. I could imagine there is a loss in return-customers because of this. Bottomline; I'm hoping this is great place with just a one-off afternoon.

They benefit because they are right in the heart of Blue Mountain Resort village and everyone gets intrigued by the long line for it. The service is slow though and unorganized. We waited 15 minutes first to move to the front of the line and then another 15 for our order to be taken as the cashier decided he wanted to help clear the order backlog. Then another 10 for our eight cone order to be made. The ice cream is average and nothing deserving of this delay.

Fantastic alternative to Menchie's in the village as the cost is VERY reasonable in comparison and the ice cream tastes way better! Highly recommended!

My only complaint is that I ordered 2 scoops, one chocolate, one blueberry. But they gave me one chocolate, one cherry, I'm not complaining though because I actually liked the cherry more than blueberry! Such a shame that a little ice cream shop hidden on the corner is the best ice cream in the resort! I can only give it 4/5 because of the mixup with my order.

It's not fair people giving 1 star cause they had to wait.. It's a busy resort..if it's busy come back later .. The other places in the resort rip you of like crazy for a little icecream, , but not these guys. Will definitely go again
A	Adam Wilton on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While they may open later than most and close earlier than most, it is understandable as there is no need for ice cream at 9am and one can imagine that the sales outside of their hours are dismal. Customer service may be slow at times but only so many orders can be served at once and the cashier can only go as fast as the customers who are ordering. I found my experience here every year amazing and look forward to returning for more of their ice cream. Not too expensive and great tasting!
