Lions Gate Medical Clinic

I was referred here and was told they are accepting new patients. The person whom answered the phone didn't say the clinic's name or give a standard professional greeting that one can expect from most establishments. When asked if they were accepting new patients, I was abruptly told "no", to which I said "oh, the website says so, maybe it's not updated", after which the receptionist said "yeah bye" very curtly before hanging up. Based on this encounter, I wouldn't want to be a patient if this is the kind of service or professionalism (ie. lack thereof ) that I could come to expect.

Doctors here are awesome, but an old woman who works as receptionist is the worst. I would give her - if I can. First time I went to this clinic she wrote my birthday wrong on my test sample so I had to go back to clinic after waiting for weeks for the result and she didn't even properly apologized for that. She would be rude on the phone every single time I try to book an appointment and I hated that I had to interact with her but I would keep going as the doctors are great here. Then with the Covid 19, I booked an appoint for the call (which I had to wait for 2 weeks) and my phone didn't had any phone call coming, so I called them after waiting for another hour, she would say that there might be problem with my phone and the doctor will call be on that day some time. So I waited all day to not miss the phone call, and Nothing. I was totally frustrated and called them next week to ask what happened and she would say she will book another appointment in 2 weeks. So today is supposed to be a day for phone call appointment after waiting a month and she calls me and says that I should be at the clinic. I explained the situation and she was like "well there was miscommunication, I will book another phone call for the doctor to call you today". and I was sceptical about if there will be really phone call coming from my experience before and it was so frustrating that I canceled a meeting for this but then there was nothing I could do, so I asked when will be the call. But she would just say that she can not tell me when the phone call will come in while interrupting what I say and "well you will get the phone call, okay?" It is obviously her fault that she booked this appoint as to walk in, after there was no phone call appointment happened at the first place and communicated about this and I explained how frustrating this is to wait another 2 more weeks to get the phone call. But here she is just simply dismissing me and says that "there was a miscommunication" like that she doesn't own any mistake she made. I really think this clinic has amazing doctors and they both cares their patients well, really wish they could hire someone else who can do their job properly and also being decent human being.

This clinic has wonderful medical staff. The facility is clean and organized. Receptionist’s are attentive, kind, and helpful. Take the low ratings with a grain of salt - this office probably sees/ attend to many, many patients per day. I’m very pleased to be a patient of Dr. Lapuste.

Dr. Lapuste is an exceptional family doctor. She is thorough and takes her time to listen. I can tell she genuinely cares. The office is clean and the front desk staff are polite and accommodating. It's an easy process to book an appointment over the phone. I really appreciate the service from the healthcare team!

They just don't respect people's time. My appointment was at 11 am. Saw the doctor at 11.50 am. After 15 minutes of observing of the doctor's attitude and bedside manner, I decided to leave. No point to be disrespected. Real disgrace !

Dr. Shelley Chin has been absolutely wonderful. She's very kind, compassionate, and truly tries to work with you to solve medical issues. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Snopkowski is an amazing physician! He's incredibly attentive and actually cares for the wellbeing of his patients. The staff here are also incredibly helpful and polite.

This clinic routinely closes early and flips on their voicemail message (that sounds like it was recorded over a wind up phone in a wind tunnel) that they say they don't check, with a number for an on-call doctor that is also not answered, and at which you also can't leave a voicemail since the message box is full. oh, they also turn this on for their lunch hour as if staggered lunch breaks aren't standard practice in most medical offices. when i got COVID and tried calling them 4 times in one week to let them know they may have been exposed with zero luck. if, for some inexplicable reason, you don't want to answer phones past 3pm on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, at least have the decency to say that on your website.
