About Lethbridge Vision Care
Dr. Barua earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences with Honours from the University of Calgary. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Before re-locating to Lethbridge, Dr. Barua practiced optometry in Edmonton at the clinic of Dr. Sam Dhaliwal & Associates.
Dr. Barua is thrilled to have opened her own clinic to serve the residents of Lethbridge. She’s committed to making sure all her patients maintain good vision. In addition to completing clinical rotations at the Woofson Eye Institute in Atlanta and The Eye Center in Memphis, Dr. Barua is also a volunteer. She’s worked extensively with Remote Area Medical to provide optometric care to individuals who are underserved and uninsured.
Dr. Barua loves her job and looks forward to helping you protect your vision, but when she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys baking, swimming, and spending time with her friends and family.

The tests were thoroughly done and well explained. Dr Barua was awesome, super friendly and professional. Best appointment by far! We would surely be back and I highly recommend the clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a couple minutes early but they took me right away. I did need to have drops put in which is uncomfortable for me, they made it seem easy. The exam went very wel, encouraged me even if I got some of the letters wrong. All in all a very pleasant appointment. Looking forward to my next one.

I felt like I could relax, knowing I was in good hands and that I could trust her. She thought to ask questions that in all these years no other eye doctor has even considered! Really, the best eye doctor I’ve ever been to in my life. I’m very impressed, and hope that she stays around for a while. Thank you so much to both her and her amazing team for being so incredibly professional, while also making me feel so cared for. Already looking forward to the next visit.
