C	Christian Chesley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and I loved this landmark. There are nice/clean washrooms and a ranger station in the basement of the main building. Signs throughout the park give detailed information about what was there, what it did, and what happened after the coal mine closed.

The Leitch Collieries history is tied to the tragic story of the Leitch family from the business and personal experiences, and is a part of the rich tapestry of provincial history. The grounds are very well kept. The interpretive panels are well done. Good writing and relevant information makes the visitor keep interested in the story that a century ago brought this site to be among the most technically advanced coal processing plants around, and the tragic events that brought it down. It shows how industry-labour relations can kill even the most efficient and modern operations. There is even a nice picnic area on the north east side of the grounds. Worth the visit.

But once it become "protected", the facilities , signs, photos telling the history made the original building look bad. I don't know why they need to hv more than 3 -4 washroom signs to tell visitors where the washroom is. Its a historical figure, not public washroom. People come here for site seeing not for peepeeing.

B	Barry Tobin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool road side stop, it's hard to imagine how hard life must have been working in the mines. The buildings and over all set up of the place is great, it's an easy walking path between sites. We ran into an issue with a wasps nest on one of the old wooden bridges but over all it was worth the stop. Kids will find the stone building interesting as they look like castles. The bathroom alone are worth the stop, very clean.
D	Domi w on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has a cool parking lots that has 4 parking site at four corners. When we arrived, each vehicle parked corner that show a strange beauty. The site is a historic site showing the past of AB was a mining source. Of course it's continue now.
