★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to show respect a time in history told in stories all over this place. Met an old man who knows the baby survivor who landed amongst the tops of the rocks. What an honor. I've been here before but during these times of social isolation sometimes you appreciate things more the second time around highly recommended a journey through here :) spring time would be better so you can truly respect your surroundings along with the graves under your feet

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This memorial site is a very peaceful place with a heartbreaking story, like much of the Crowsnest Pass. There are a lot of boards to read to get a sense of the time and scope of the disaster. The mass grave with plaques naming the deceased is incredibly sad to see. The memorial also lists other Canadian mining disasters from across Canada.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A desperately sad story of the worse mining disaster in Canadian history. This should be taught in every canadian school history lesson. A bigging memorial to those brave souls who risked everything on that fateful day. I feel privileged to have read their stories. A must visit.
