Staff are A1, extremely helpful. Easy to find as right off the main drag. Extraordinarily clean aswell!

This is a peice of history is a must see. I came here with my parents when I was little, the amount of rock the buried the town and the distance it traveled in 100 seconds absolutely blows the mind. There is an interpretive center that we didn't go to, instead we went on a mine tour but in retrospect both would have been a good idea. Next time.

Take the time to not only visit the museum but for the beautiful walking trails. I've found many a fossil over the years but have never taken them home. Frank Slide looks crazy from the road, but it isn't until you get walking amoung the ginormous rocks that it really hits you how terrible this disaster was. The curse put on the Elk Valley area stretching to Fernie by the Native Elders was lifted some years ago now. A very interesting story! During the winter months lookout for the Snow Snakes...

Beautiful place to learn about some of the lesser known history of the province of Alberta. Would reccomend you go to all the sites nearby.

Amazing historical education opportunity for young and old. Nice trail and very friendly staff. If you think you know everything about this disaster from what you’ve read then you need to see it with your own eyes to put the icing on the cake!

Frank Slide is a must visit for all. It is among the most humbling places to visit in Alberta. The scale of the rock slide is hard to appreciate without walking through the trail off the visitors centre.

It was a sad story. Can not imagine a high mountain slide half to a new town when people was sleeping. So sad only a few survives. We met the book writer and talked about many stories about the slide.

Very nice place to take photos crazy how there is a whole town under there in 2019 when Covid happened I was walking up here and the Center was indeed closed I met someone that day on my walk believe me or not I know there was a baby that survived that and that persons family was there that day I didn’t know what to say and no I’m definitely not lying! All in all it’s always been one of my favourite places and forever will be so much to see within this entire area from the cemetery to the falls that are only 11km away! Definitely make this stop a part of your journeys you won’t regret it worth every cent.
