Legacy Log Cabin

Hated it here. The owners were disrespectful, the place was nasty when I woke up with bug bites on my back. This place and the owners caused a lot of mental distress. I do NOT recommend going here. I just need this experience to get out of my head.

Thank you for creating and sharing your space with us! The log cabin is amazing and I can't think of one thing that you have not thought of or included. We enjoyed a relaxing and low key weekend away from it all for our 5th wedding anniversary. Thank you! P.S. We even saw Martin Short at 3 Guys and a Stove! Really great food and a celebrity sighting on top of everything.

My husband and I spent our seventh year wedding anniversary at this cabin. It was everything that we were looking for and more. The cabin itself was beautiful! It gave off a cozy, romantic cabin in the woods vibe. Which is what it is. We spent one of our days hiking through the sugar maple trails. There are paths going through the property with beautiful views and chances to see moose, deer, chipmunks, birds, porcupine,racoon or even the occasional bear from what we heard. Some of the trails were a bit steep but other than that they were perfect to walkthrough without much debris . There is no need to go all the way out to Algonquin Park when they have it all on this lot. After our hike we came back to our warm cottage and prepared dinner with all the tools, utensils and spices we needed to have a lovely dinner. The bathroom looked like something out of a magazine. It had a two-headed stone/glass stall shower, a beautiful elongated sink, luxurious linens and even heated stone floors! It is beautiful! Although we didn't use the TV much they offer a large smart flat screen TV with Netflix and Wifi. The bedroom Loft was amazing. It felt like sleeping on a cloud in the woods. The windows make you feel like you're in a treehouse and it makes waking up in the morning something to look forward to. Carolyn and Bill were excellent hosts. They provided everything we needed plus added some tourist information for nearby attractions. They are very friendly and quiet people, you could barely tell they were just downstairs. Carolyn was a joy to be around, you can feel the passion and love for what she does just by talking to her, and if you can catch any of Bills stories he'll have you wanting to travel and explore in no time. They truely are an amazing couple. The lot is very private, and they have a operating Maple Sugar Shack on the property, which is a small cabin where sap from the maple trees is collected and boiled down to make maple syrup. They even offered us a tour! They have a beautiful out door fire pit which is in a small cove shielded from the wind. It's a great place to warm up on a cool night or to roast marshmallows and make s'mores. Overall it was a beautiful cabin on amazing property. I would definitely recommend staying here for any couples that want a romantic getaway with opportunities to hike and enjoy nature, while not limiting your comfort.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the cabin in early October and had a lovely experience. The cabin is visually stunning and with the fall colours it was a real treat. The owners, Carolyn and Bill are lovely people and were very easy to work with. If you have the chance to stay here I guarantee you won't regret it.
