Total hip replacement without any pain. Two weeks later I can walk slowly w/o aids--although I'll be using a cane for safety a while yet. The only concern was that it took 1 1/2 years from sign up to sign off, much too long.

Donna who is Dr Lee's nurse/receptionist is a very knowledgeable and helpful person. Thank you, Donna. Dr. Lee is a great surgeon and I am sure my quick recovery from partial knee replacement was because of his surgical skill. Thank you, Dr Lee. I would recommend Dr Lee to anyone requiring knee or hip surgery. Yvonne

My fiance's referral was September 29, 2016. Today is May 17, 2019. My fiance has not been given a surgery date for a hip replacement. It verges on cruelty and inhumane. I would not recommend this Dr. and his secretary is just RUDE. No excuse! Neither of them should be in the helping profession.

Dr. Lee has been a good specialist for my husband. He has helped out in so many ways and we have been seeing him for the past 5 years. HIS SECRETARY on the other hand is a miserable miserable unprofessional women. She changed my husbands appointment without confirmation and then charged him a $200 missed appointment fee. Having spoke with her on the phone and her snappy unprofessional behaviour really had me fired up. Her being the only person there and not having a lunch break is not my problem. If your over worked, underpaid or should of retired 5 years ago you really shouldn't take it out on patients or patients spouses. Its okay to make a mistake you are only human just own it.

My 60 year old mother was told to wait two weeks to get casted after her surgery. Dr. Lee and the health care professionals all told us that we had to wait for their call to book an appointment. It’s been 4 weeks and we were basically forgotten. When I called in to ask, the receptionist responded indifferently telling me that I should have called. Well last time I called regarding her surgery, she told me to wait for THEM to call. Although Dr. Lee was really helpful throughout the procedure, his receptionist could have been nicer instead of blaming the hospital or the patient for their inattentiveness. Seems like other people felt the same looking at the reviews below.

Dr David Lee is a great orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee and hip replacement and broken bones. I happily recommend this surgeon to anyone needing these services. ** Please note that Dr Lee is on sabbatical learning a new surgical technique for hip replacement surgery. It's been nine years since I first saw him in 2012, and in July 2021 Dr Lee performed a total right knee replacement surgery at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. This is my rating of my experience from the time of signing the release for surgery in October 2020. Photos taken 2 weeks post surgery or earlier. Dr Lee is bright, friendly and matter of fact. I found him to be honest, to the point and accurate in his predictions of the post surgery experience. Office assistant Amanda has been great to work with and always accommodates my errors in scheduling and communication with grace and humor. With regards to the actual surgical process, Dr Lee gave conservative advice so that I knew exactly what to expect in terms of mobility and pain. He referred me to the ARHC Rehab clinic for physiotherapy. Their team is top notch in a beautiful facility with great equipment. The artificial knee is strong and stable and has improved steadily since the surgery. I'm now able to walk, ascend and descend stairs, drive and do quick shopping trips... FitBit credits me with about 4000 steps a day. Unfortunately progress is relatively slow for me because of the lengthy wait for accurate assessment and diagnosis, since the original injury in 2002. I've lost significant muscle over the decades.. the associated tendons, ligaments and attachments have also deteriorated accordingly, some quite badly. If this surgery had been done 7 or 8 years ago, I would have seen greater benefits. Nevertheless, three months later, thanks to this new knee joint, I was able to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for my family of eight and clean the kitchen completely. This morning I returned my mobility equipment to the Red Cross. So much to be thankful for this year!
