Usually it's a good store but this time doing a simple exchange took over half an hour.

Terrible! I specifically drove the 2 hour+ round trip to come to this store on an advertised 20% off already marked down items sale day to purchase a dress I'd been keeping my eye on. I drove to find the one I had seen online which was listed at 104$ plus tax when added to my cart tried it on and was happy. I confirmed the price and sale with the clerks who excitedly confirmed for me the extra 20% off I would receive purchasing it today. UPON leaving the store I noted I had been overcharged at a rate 129.99$ plus tax rather than the listed $104! I was not impressed with the 25$+ surcharge for the item on top of my 2hour round trip just to buy this dress specifically for the advertised rate on that day?!?!? I contacted headquarters figuring it must be a simple error that they would fix without another needless 2+hours of driving- INSTEAD THEY stated they would NOT honor their own price and would not "do a price adjustment " (their words not mine) per policy as the item was already marked down?!?! I was not looking for a 'price adjustment' on some sale that had occurred after purchase was made rather I WAS LOOKING TO BE CHARGED THE ACTUAL PRICE OF THE ITEM ON THE EXACT DAY I PURCHASED IT as it was listed both in store and online and to be refunded the $25+tax extra amount I was overcharged. I said this in my reply however rather than fix their cashiers mistake the company will not respond or correct THEIR error. What was supposed to be an excited moment has turned to a sour headache. I will no longer shop here and will not recommend it to anyone. Summary: Only shop here if you would like to be charged prices 20% extra above the advertised price and receive ZERO customer support from the main office. Always triple check your bill before you pay if by some crazy change you do decide to shop here as they will not fix their keying errors afterwards. Do save yourself the headache, don't throw your money away and shop elsewhere! Update March 12th: I have contacted the company using the contact info below. They remain unwilling to resolve or rectify the $25 overcharge in any way. Review stands as written above- terrible non-existent customer service.

I have been told by several friends that the new Laura location was poor and poor customer service but I had to find out for myself, I have just come out of the Victoria Laura store very upset, I was in the store for approx 20 minutes. 2 female sales staff leaning on the counter chatting away. The store was empty I walked around the store twice and was not acknowledged in any way or asked if I need help. I shopped at the old store on a regular basis and always spent a lot if money. Now I have to shop online because the selection of plus sizes are minimal and the service is very poor.came away with a bad taste. I hope this helps other customers. Shop somewhere else. They obviously don't need the business.

I am not sure why the star ratings are so low for such a wonderful shop! The ladies working there are always willing to help (if help is needed!) I never feel bothered of pressured into purchasing anything, and they are always willing to order anything into the store if needed. As a frequent shopper of Laura (especially this location) I am a very happy customer and I will keep coming back. I love the clothing, style, comfort and quality.

I was so happy to see this new store at Uptown as I have been a Laura shopper for decades, first in Ottawa and then downtown Victoria. I went in, saw a dress I liked, tried it on, and bought it. Hubby barely had time to blink before I was back out again with my Laura bag. We didn't have much time as we had to get back to the car that was charging.

I love the flexibility of booking a private shopping appointment. I did this in September and with Shannon's expertise and knowledge I was able to put together my Fall wardrobe without any stress. Shannon made the whole experience FUN!! I get so many compliments when I wear the clothes she picked for me. I highly recommend you book an appointment! A month later I went back for my winter coat and again Shannon helped me out. From now on I'm just going to let her pick all my clothes....LOL!!
