Lakewood Dental Centre

Disappointed in the service and lack of communication from staff. I was charged for $130 worth of services that I understood would be covered by insurance. I also had to go back multiple times to fix and adjust the teeth that were worked on.

Couldn’t be happier with how our appointments went for my 2 toddlers. The staff were fantastic with them and were so easy to talk to. They offer direct billing as well which is a huge plus!!

Overall, I am very impressed and pleased, and would recommend based on my visit. The only negative point, and it was fairly minor as I'll explain below, I could raise is that, when I arrived, they had a sign on the door instruction people to stay in their vehicles and call. I understand that this is because of Covid-19 and social distancing, but, this rubs me the wrong way a bit, since some of us (like myself), get around by walking or riding the bus. Something about the automatic assumption that everyone would be coming there by car, and providing instructions on the door that only apply to those folks, was something I didn't like, especially since it was raining at the time of my appointment. Now, this was a fairly minor point, since, when I got there, the staff saw me waiting to get in, asked me if I had an appointment and let me in without any trouble. Still, as a suggestion, I'd maybe recommend rewording the note on the door, to something like "We'd ask those who are able to do so to stay in their vehicles until their appointment", that would be great, since it would at least implictly not make the assumption that every patient is arriving their by vehicle. Leaving aside this 1 negative, everything else was overwhelmingly positive: the appointment booking process was easy and straightforward, and they were able to see me quickly, the staff was courteous and professional, the dentist was friendly and explained things clearly, the place including the waiting area was clean and well lit. It was a rainy day, and they asked people to take off their shoes when entering, which I think is a great idea (but was a bit surprised by since I don't see this very often). Looking forward to my 2nd visit and definitely feel like I'll be in good hands at Lakewood Dental Centre.

Best dental office in town. Always super accommodating and a great staff. Treat you like family and take care of you from the moment you walk in. Makes busy in the dentist always better than anticipated. JW

Staff and Doctor Rose are awesome! Super friendly! When Doctor Rose gives me the needle I don't even feel it and, according to my wife, I can be a big child when it comes to needles.

I have been going here for a few years and it is a consistently good experience. The staff is very friendly and the office is well maintained. I have experienced a few different hygienists and doctors there and all were really professional, helpful and gentle when it came to cleanings. They even give you a gift if you refer someone which I thought was a nice touch

I’ve been coming here for a couple years. All the staff there are just amazing. From the hygienists, to the dentists (mine is dr.harry, he efficient but also very kind and is ready to listen if you have concerns). I just love the secretaries they are always so sweet and understanding. It’s a very professional but also kind environment :)

Dr Derek is the best dentist I have come across in my entire life. He is very professional in his conduct and approach.He is so passionate about his work.He is very calm, collected and never wavered to listened to you. I am also fortunate to have someone like Jeff as my hygienist. I was blown away by his professional conduct, His work is very thorough and impressive. The supporting staff of Dr. Derek is an invaluable asset to Lakewood Dental Centre. The frontdesk staff are warmly receptive and impressive. Keep it up!.
