Dr. Tom Swanlund, Winnipeg, Dentist
Tom has been serving the Eastern part of Winnipeg for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1983 and is passionate about sharing his knowledge about Dentistry.
He continues to keep up with the latest advances in Dentistry with regular attendance to courses and seminars. As a student of the Kois Learning Centre, he is dedicated to advancing Dentistry through Science. He is also a current member MDA, CDA, Winnipeg Dental Society and past President of the Western Canadian Dental Society.
Tom is committed to always providing the highest standard of care combined with his warm and gentle manner in an environment that is both calm and relaxing. He strongly believes in the concept that having a healthy mouth and body can have a positive impact on your overall health and wellness, leading to a happy and productive life.
Tom believes in an active lifestyle, and in his free time, loves to ski, golf, curl, swim and play squash. He loves to travel and enjoys spending time with his growing family at the cottage, and would never give up a good day of fishing.
He’s known for his contagious laughter, and at any given time, you can usually catch him smiling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These people are extremely rude and ignorant. PUlled my two young kids out of there and moved to a new dental office, Found them very condescending and snotty. Got insulted by one of the front desk ladies, Then when i answered back accordingly, they other 3 'Karens' chimed in.. So at one point, i had 4 'Karens" verbally coming at me. Very unprofessional, want everyone to know, DO NOT GO HERE. Even my kids did not like the Energy and / or environment there, STay Away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to get a root canal done on my back left tooth and was quoted $800. They did work on my other connecting teeth without asking me first and billed me $1500. They were also unsuccessful of doing the initial root canal and wanted me to visit another dentist to get it done. Which was another $1500….. so instead i had the tooth removed and now I’m dealing with terrible pain on the teeth i never asked to be worked on….

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been going here for about a year and a half and they are fantastic. I used to be terrified of going to the dentist and now it’s barely an issue. Dr. Head is excellent, and all other staff I’ve encountered have been great with my dental fear and anxieties. Absolutely recommend.

Not only are the front desk clerks friendly, kind, understanding and efficient they also are helpful in figuring out costs, and dealing with your insurance provider as well as answering any concerns or questions I had. The dental hygienists are also incredibly friendly, positive and really made me feel at ease and comfortable before the procedures and during. Same goes with Dr Tom Swanlund he is such a kind, patient dentist and really helped keep me calm when I was nervous. He went above and beyond for me to make sure that I wasn't uncomfortable and reassured me the whole way through. I have never had such awesome service at a dental office like I have at this place! Turns out you can have a enjoyable and painless experience at the dentist's office, that is if you go to my place and have this wonderful team!
