Our company’s strength lies in the quality and depth of our products and staff. Our offices, unlike our competition, are open six days a week, with extended hours of 8:00am to 9:00pm, Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and Fridays 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday’s 9:00am to 5:00pm. With our knowledgeable staff, we are able to service our clients even when a client’s broker is busy or out of the office on inspections.

La Salle Insurance & Travel Services Ltd. is a privately incorporated company with two locations, one in the South end of the City of Winnipeg and the second in the southern rural town of La Salle, Manitoba and is licensed to transact both General Insurance and Travel Agency services.

La Salle Insurance & Travel Services Ltd. has been independently owned and operated by the Murphy family since early 1950’s. Brian and Brenda Murphy took over the business from the 1st generation and ran the operation from their home in Fort Richmond until 1980 at which time they relocated to the existing strip mall location, in a 620 square foot office. In 1998 they outgrew their space and moved to a larger office space of 1020 square feet, in the same mall. With the addition of the Travel Agency in 2000, they doubled their office space and now occupy over 2000 square feet in the same location. In the year 2000, they expanded their operations and opened the second location in La Salle, Manitoba, at which time they leased office space. Requiring more space at this location, Brian and Brenda built the existing strip mall location in 2003 to provide home to their current location.

Today, the third generation of the family is now involved. Sons, Jason and Adam Murphy, are both involved in the day to day operations, decision making and ownership of both locations.

Service Description

La Salle Insurance & Travel Services Ltd. provides Automobile, Travel Health, Tenants, Condominium, Homeowner, Farm and Commercial insurance in Winnipeg and La Salle, Manitoba. We take pride in knowing that for over 50 years we have helped our clients to find the best coverage at the right price that suits their needs and expectations. In the event of a claim, our clients know that we are there to provide help and counsel to ensure a fast, speedy claim settlement.

We have stressed to our insureds the importance of good communication between the broker and client to insure proper coverage is in place. We have noticed as our clients become better informed about insurance that there has been a tremendous increase in clients wishing in-depth discussions about their policy coverage and how they can get the most value for their insurance dollar.

We also provide insurance services to non-clients, such as lawyers, mortgagees and auto dealers, to ensure our mutual clients have proper coverage and binding notes in place for the purchase of homes, businesses, and automobiles.

Not Professional at all. extremely bad experience. People work here are not trained enough to collect one accurate piece of document. I will never recommend anyone to take a service from horrible people. I wish i could give negative (0) because due to their mistakes i had to wait about 2 months. They made me to visit 4 times to submit my one document and they even don’t know what to look for. People work here act like they are working over the phone but in actual it is not the scenario.

The lady at their Notre Dame branch was rude, arrogant, and very condescending. We politely asked what requirements were needed to establish my wife's identity for her Class 5 knowledge test and the lady was just rude, very terse in her replies, obviously not hiding her irritation. It wasn't just us that she dealt with very badly but the customer before us as well. While waiting for our turn, we witnessed how she dealt with the young guy, slamming his papers and his money change onto the desk. When the deal was done, she managed to tell the guy to "have a good day!" with pursed lips but you could tell there was never an ounce of intent to wish him well. I was thinking to myself, "this lady can't be for real!" And sure enough, when it was our turn, she had exactly the same demeanor. The way you deal with customers is how anyone dealing with your business will remember your business. And if people like her are the people who front La Salle's business, then I could only imagine how many more customers have left their Notre Dame branch with a horrible experience that left a bad taste in their mouths. Very unacceptable! Terrible customer service! Won't come back.

Welcome to the fish market. They give zero concern to your issue , what you are asking, what do you want to provide. Save your time and go somewhere else. I have scream my lungs out just to make her understand what I was saying. It’s crowded and noisy. Feels like they are giving you free money or free food because if they even realize that we are the customer they would never behaved like this . I prefer a smaller place with a one on one conversation opportunity not a fish market.

Kim C. Helped me today and she was amazing. It was a long transaction where she had to call to confirm a few things but she was so nice. It was a busy office and she was still greeting those who walked in to make sure they were noticed. I loved dealing with her and I will definitely come back and see her again.

I want to rate LaSalle at 3.5. This is because usually the staff isn't the most friendly. I've found them to be self-centred instead of client centred. However, in a recent experience, a manager named Dominique L. really improved my experience. She truly went above and beyond to help me and to make things better. I appreciated this very much. Wish her the best ahead.
