Owner was very rude, The Madame got very upset when I ask a simple question :Where the pastry chef went to school? She was very defensive and said: you can not talk to him, is my employee.
I explain that only was wondering about the school he went and did not have any intentions of stilling recipes or employee. . By the way I was treated ,is a never come back .
And now Now after having try the flan, it was tasteless and pistacho croissant
Hard and old. I do not want to know where they learn to bake anymore

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful pastries and cozy interior. The lunch deal ($15 for coffee, sandwich, and pastry) is a steal too! I tried the swiss and the pain au chocolate and both were delicious (and also huge). Highly recommend overall!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Baguette et Compagnie is a fantastic little cafe which offers incredible food and drink. I enjoyed a decaf americano and cherry pistachio croissant. Both were incredible! Emile was very hospitable and made my first vist memorable. Can't wait to go back again and try the rest of the pastries!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff is exemplary being friendly and super patient. I took several minutes to look at the menu and sample their soup of the day which is made of purple yam. I feel it would be great for breakfast or evening to my liking.
My order is the quiche containing egg, ham, cheese, and fluffy crust. It takes about 7 minutes to heat up in the oven. There are savory and sweet options for baked goods. They have a pear almond pie that I'm tempted to try out.
Coffee variety is Salt Spring Coffee and they have soy milk and almond milk for milk alternatives.
The specials are great with medium coffee/tea and pie is only $4.95.
Staff clean the tables regularly keeping tables available.
Location is off of W Broadway and easy to find. There is street parking which is metered. Around the corner and a block away is free street parking.
If sitting outside on a sunny day, wear sunglasses or hat as there are no sunlight umbrellas.
