don't waste your time and money. I wondered why this place was 3x cheaper than other training facilities in Kingston and there is a good reason why. I called in advanced and was given reassurance they would be able to help me with my dog's anxiety and aggression to bigger dogs. Every week I showed up they had forgot who I was and why I was there. The couple are seniors and retired. The man who was doing the training was disorientated and lost at times. Spent most of the class room time talking in circles about the same thing he had told me the previous week. I was constantly asking about the main purpose of my visit and that my dog was already well trained with heeling, sit or stay but he wouldn't listen. Just mentioned he would focus on it the next week.. where he then would forget who I was the following week. When I finally brought up I would not be returning he clearly and aggressively admitted to not being able to help me and not knowing how to. He refused to give me a refund and hung up. The shocking part about that conversation was I was calm and cool as I was calling him while at work. He clearly is short tempered and has horrible social skills. In summary I would like to suggest any future clients who want to train a puppy to google it. It would be just as helpful as he is going off a tattered sheet on the wall of instructions. If you want advanced training I would seek a professional.. just remember.. you get what you pay for and if I would give them less than 1 star rating I would.

Bill and Deb are wonderful people who love dogs and have awesome training methods. We love taking our babies here. We first signed up for the beginner class with our 4 month old puppy. When that 8 weeks was done we signed up for the novice class because we love the trainer's so much. Truly wonderful people who love dogs and are happy to be doing something they love and helping others with their furry family members.

We brought our quiet 10 month old Lab for basic obedience. Bill was disorganized and seemed to be in a constant state of confusion. At our third class, our puppy nipped his finger as he was taking a treat from him. This was unfortunate, but Bill’s reaction was to hit him across the face, so hard the pup was knocked off his feet. This is inconsistent with positive reinforcement training and was completely out of proportion with the circumstance or the pup’s temperament. We overlooked Bill’s lack of social skills, but are not prepared to overlook his lack of professionalism or his lack of emotional regulation. Don’t ignore the other reviews that highlight this issue. Do not recommend this trainer unless you have a dog who you think needs to be treated with brutality.

Recommend them for individual training . They work with you to get the best from your dog using positive reinforcement with a very occasional correction if needed. Bill and Debbie know their stuff! Thanks

I brought my dog Einstein here a few years ago, i just got another dog and was looking up trainers and i cant believe these people are still in business. The man hit my dog because he grabbed at a treat. Then tried to give some explanation as to why it was justified. Positive reinforcement changes behaviour and doesn't create a fear. If these "trainers" were properly educated they would know that. Hitting a dog isn't necessary and if thats your go to method, perhaps youre in the wrong line of work.

I had an excellent experience with Bill. (Deb, who is mentioned in many reviews, had passed away before I started training with Bill). I had a 3-month-old husky mix when we started, and though huskies are notoriously stubborn, Lucca took to the training extremely well and was always excited to go to Bill's. Bill has a great way with dogs and with people (except the rare few, who I see from one review, have unreasonable expectations). He is relaxed but firm. He is not precious about dogs. If they need to be reined in, he does so, recognizing that it is in their own best interests. He also is not precious about people, letting them know gently but clearly when they have to up their game in managing their pet--or when their pet is engaging in potentially dangerous activity. The creature who benefited most from the training was me. I have so much more knowledge and confidence now--and a solid relationship with Lucca--thanks to Bill's training. I happily recommend him to anyone looking for dog training.

Bill is amazing and so patient, he helped my Autistic son and I train his service dog. Unfortunately his dog suddenly passed, but my son is working with Bill again with his new dog. Bill feels like family even after our dog is trained we’ll continue our weekly training to help keep our dog mentally stimulated.
