King Jiu-Jitsu has been one of those rare life experiences where trying something new quickly turns into something you can see yourself doing forever. As a newbie to BJJ, Professor Gregg and his students were incredibly warm, welcoming, and patient with me and my wife when we first started. We had anxiety about going to our first ever martial arts class but that was gone after the first 5 minutes. We were well taken care of and continue to be to this day. Everyone is approachable and deeply respectful. Professor Gregg's teaching/coaching style is the perfect balance between conceptual and application. We literally get to test theory in real-life scenarios each and every single class. It's amazing to see that even the most experienced people still learn something new every time and that would not be possible without Professor Gregg's expertise and commitment to making every one of his student's a better athlete, self-defender, and martial artist. If you're someone who has always thought about trying BJJ but never took the first step, I highly recommend you do what I did and try one of Professor Gregg's classes. You will quickly become hooked and wish every day was King Jiu-Jitsu class day. Thank you for everything you do, Professor Gregg! We love being part of your team!! EDIT: Came back to say that Professor Gregg's righthand man, Professor Eric, is also an amazing coach and incredibly supportive. He introduces a great dynamic and helps to build a welcoming environment. Professor Eric is professional, jovial, and an expert. Having both Professor Gregg and Professor Eric leading us on the mats is a huge honour and privilege. I cannot understate how integral he is in putting together an educational and fun experience. I've been learning jiu-jitsu under professor Gregg for a few months and it's already been a great experience. I had no previous martial arts experience and was nervous for my first few classes,  but both professor Gregg, professor Erick and all of the other students made me feel welcome right away. The overall culture of the gym is excellent,  everyone is laid-back and friendly while still taking the training very seriously. Professor Gregg has a great way of breaking down complex movements into smaller steps. He's very engaging and informative. Rather than just going through the motions of a lesson, I feel like he genuinely wants each one of us to improve and it's clear from his passion and enthusiasm, that he wants everyone to love jiu-jitsu as much as he does. During rolling at the end of the class, we have a chance to apply the techniques we've been learning. It's as realistic as possible and everyone tries their best to get the first submission, but regardless of who taps, everyone's friends again as soon as the roll is over. It's incredibly rewarding to learn something then be able to immediately apply it. If you're hesitant like I was, don't be! Take one lesson and you'll be hooked

Had my first BJJ class yesterday, and it was a blast. Can't wait next class! Professor Gregg and all the students were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere here is great, no egos. 100% recommend

As a female who had never done any form of martial arts before, I was very intimidated to start BJJ! Professor Gregg, Professor Eric, and all the other students made me feel welcomed into the King Jiu Jitsu family from my very first class. Professor Gregg is extremely passionate about teaching BJJ and creates a supportive learning environment rooted in respect, discipline, and humility. His enthusiasm for BJJ makes every class fun and exciting! I already feel like I've learned so much in the short time I've been going and classes here have quickly become my favorite part of the week. I would highly recommend King Jiu Jitsu!

I love this school. Everyone is friendly is respectful. Much of the credit goes to professor Greg King and Professor Eric for making a safe and fun environment for everyone. Jiu Jitsu is a hard sport - but they make it fun and enjoyable. The technical drills and rolling are my weekly highlights. Been going since July 2020 and my physical fitness, confidence and grappling have improved immensely. I implore everyone to try it - you won’t be disappointed!

Great place for the whole family. My son is learning confidence and self defense. Profs Greg and Eric are great with children and are friendly and attentive. For myself, the adult classes give me the training I need to defend my family and myself against a much bigger opponent should the opportunity arise. As well each class provides a great workout and the class times are flexible (2 locations) and affordable. OSS ?
