★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jim King did an absolutely fabulous job. I recently picked up an old Evan's brother's piano from 1905 that hadn't been cleaned or tuned in probably over 35 years. Jim cared for my piano like it was his own; he took it apart and cleaned it, fixed it (the tuning pegs were loose) and tuned it right up. He ended up taking the hammer bar home with him to clean it up: I thought it was brass when he left with it but when he came back with it all cleaned up I realized it had been yellow due to the dirt on it, I was baffled! He also gave excellent recommendations for cleaning it and making it shine again. His rates were far more reasonable than I ever had expected, and I actually feel like he should have charged much much more for the absolutely phenomenal work he did. He also was able to come by to work on the piano incredibly quick: I got the piano and a week and a half later he was done with it! The tuning itself only took an hour and a half. I couldn't be happier with King's service and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for their piano to be tuned, repaired, and cared for.
