About The Breakfast Pig
The Breakfast Pig started out as a dream and a hope for me. Having served in all types of restaurants and bars, I knew what people wanted. I spent years listening to people’s compliments and complaints, and had become as big of a foodie as anyone I knew, so I put faith in my experiences and decided to move forward with my plan. I wanted to create and serve the best tasting, most creative, mind blowing food possible, and I wanted to do it with the focus being on the most important meal of the day. Though I was met with criticism, cynicism and doubts by some, I believed in my industry earned knowledge and stayed true to myself, and The Breakfast Pig was born. I am now surrounded by a wonderful front of house staff, the most hard working, talented kitchen staff anyone could ask for, and the world’s greatest customers! People often say how lucky I am that The Pig is so successful, but I like to think that luck may have played a small role, but dedication, hard work, and the fact that this is a labour of love are the real reasons why we have done so well.
I am so proud to be able to take the next step in bringing forth the very best. The move to go to 100% local pork is something so near and dear to my heart. I not only want my customers to enjoy the taste benefits of this decision, but I absolutely love that we will be supporting so many local businesses with this move and that we are supporting the fair treatment of our pigs. I am so proud to be amongst some of the first businesses in Sault Ste Marie to be moving away from the commercial pork industry. Now when you are dining with us, your belly and your heart can feel good about your choices!

Vegetarian options are less but what we ordered was truly worthy the portion was good and taste was delicious.
Well if you are planning to visit this place on weekends then try to reach before time as you may face long waiting line, well waiting may not be more than 15-20 minutes but still.
Only disappointment is the service, had to ask for 4 times for the straw for my orange juice. Even the server passed 3-4 times from my table but my straw was nowhere.

Also tried the new menu Korean Pork benny. Good spice and very filling.

Ordered the notorious P.I.G. It was a pulled pork grilled cheese eggs benne. So poached eggs and hollandaise on the sammich.
It was quite amazing. The sandwich was loaded and crispy on the outside. Eggs poached perfectly. Got the hollandaise on the side as I'm eating on the road. The sauce was great.
100% recommend.
Oh can't forget the cubed home fries crispy and hot.
Thanks for the good eats. Will be stopping again next time through.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such an amazing place to have your breakfast or brunch. We were in Sault Ste. Marie for 3 days last weekend and visited them twice. On both the occasions our server was Autumn - she was very attentive to our table, made some good breakfast suggestions and was very kind too. All the food is cooked fresh and is delicious. My personal favorite was Belgian waffle. Ordered the same on both occasions. They don't accept reservations and serve on first come first serve basis. I wish Mississauga had a similar breakfast/brunch place. Kudos to their team for providing an amazing experience and all the things they do in Sault Ste. Marie community. Keep up the great work. Will surely be visiting when I am there next time. Cheers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing breakfast place! Only negative is the lineup to enter, they get really busy, but that's how you know it's a place worth checking out; Definitely ate like a pig. The portions are amazing and staff is very friendly and attentive.

Went on a weekend and there was a bit of a wait, maybe 30 mins or so but it was worth it! Coffee was regular diner coffee in case you are looking for a place with latte, this is not the place.
Definitely would go back if I am in Sault St.Marie.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Great Lakes Benny was everything I was hoping for and more! Loved the whitefish cakes, and the holly was just simply divine. The local hot sauce was a great addition, I especially enjoyed the berry one. Service was great as well! Thanks for a great experience.
