Kim's Nails

The place was empty. Its clean and the people / employees were tiding up looking for something to do i guess. I couldn't get an appointment at my regular mani/pedi place because they were packed as usual, so I checked out this place as it was closer to home. Basically my issues are that they declined a basic pedi request, tried to explain it away and were unhelpful. This young lady ( 18 yrs?) was trying to explain to me that if they cut my callouses it would hurt while I walk! So they refused. I have been going for pedicures for 35 years on a regular basis. I always get callouses cut to keep feet soft. It's one of my main reasons for pedicure. I go every 3 weeks because of this reason. Shocking and rude child. A specific request re cutting callous denied! It's a pedicure.Isn't that standard? They really cut my cuticles bare though.(ouch! ) After the polish, they argued with me about using nail glue to have the rhinestone diamonte adhere properly. However, they caved on this one after much pressing on my part so they get a point for that. But seriously, you are an empty mani pedi shop in north Toronto! The lady ( I highly doubt she is a certified Esthestician) forgot to put on my paper sandles before polish. I even brought my own flip flops and went to my car at the outset to get them. I asked her to put them on and she ignored me. Something else to add insult to injury, I asked for water and I was clearly unable to get it myself ( I had to lift my long pants to avoid messing the polish as I was no longer wearing heals) and I was holding my bag in one hand and my phone in the other. They just pointed in the direction of the water cooler!! No one was busy but they couldn't get me water! Omg what a disaster.

The staff are friendly but the shellac manicure was terrible. It did not look like I got my. Ails painted at a salon. It looked like a kid painted my nails. The whole nail wasn't painted, it wasn't smooth, nor even, a bristle from the brush was left on my nail and painted into the second coat, and it came off in one week when usually shellac will last me 2-3 weeks! I do not recommend this place for a shellac manicure!

Very nice people to deal with. The gentleman who did the actual fill and shaping of my nails did an amazing job, however when I got home I noticed the shellac (not done by him) was horrible! The paint is lumpy and already peeling which never usually happens with shellac. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here.

The people there are very kind. I needed my nails fixed up for my line of work. Their prices were very affordable and their service was quick and well done. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I've been to many nail salons but this one is my favourite! I've been here many times now and they always do an amazing job with shellac, pedis and manicures. It's very affordable and I always get quick service. It's owned by a lovely couple who are very sweet and kind.

Kim is the best nail tech in the city! Her and her husband are so kind and caring. My nails always look fabulous and last a long time and the prices are good. It’s easy to miss from the outside but its a local gem. Will definitely be back
