Dr. Starr is a great doctor. He's very knowledgeable funny friendly and down-to-earth. He seems to care a lot about his patients and gives Great's medical advice to them as well when sending them home from surgery and with all follow-up visits. Dr. Starr did my bariatric surgery and I am extremely pleased with the treatments I got from him and in all of his dealings with me in all my appointments with him and with my surgery at the hospital as well. I definitely recommend him to anyone who's considering getting bariatric surgery or weight loss surgery.

Dr Starr and his team were wonderful on my first procedure. I now do need a second one, and I've been treated wonderfully from his secretary/team. I'm looking forward to coming in and I trust Dr Starr and his staff. I know I'm in good hands.

My mom was the one who went to see Dr. Starr. She went for weight loss surgery. During the consultations my mother had repeatedly told Dr. Starr that she is allergic to any kind of staples or metals. He reassured her that he could do the surgery without using those things and that he could sew her stomach with sutures. Because he would reassure her with this she decided to go ahead with surgery. Shortly after the surgery was over she was in tremendous pain. Dr. Starr was giving her strong drugs to combat the pain. But after about a week of being in the hospital she was allowed to go home. Not even a week after she left the hospital from her surgery, she started to get an infection where she was supposed to be healing. She went back to the hospital and she had to get a tube from her stomach to a bag outside her body so the infection could drain out. She had that bag for about 3 months. When he put the tube from her stomach to the bag he told my mom that he used STAPLES instead of sutures. He told my mom that only 4% of people are allergic to staples and that she will be fine. My mom had so many complications with this one surgery that she is now in a lot of pain daily and she is on permanent disability because she can't do much without suffering. She is in constant pain with her stomach. Every time she tries to get tests done they are inconclusive because she's either swollen too much to see anything or there is some other complication. My mom is now terrified to go back to Dr. Starr because he lied to her and played God by putting something she stated she was allergic to, before surgery, in her body. I would never recommend Dr. Starr to anyone, because he could very well make short cuts that could cause long term damage.

Dr.Starr - сompetent surgeon, with extensive experience. The doctor works quickly, intelligently, calmly, confidently. After the operation, I recovered quickly and without problems. I recommend this specialist.

Dr. Starr is a great surgeon who I was lucky to be helped by. His staff are great, too.

Dr. Starr is so great. He was warm, welcoming, kind, and made me feel very comfortable. I came into see him for my post-op meeting. His staff, the two ladies in the front are also so sweet and great. You’re in the best hands here.
