Killarney Medical Clinic - Calgary

Tried to call for appt on Tues, Dec 28, left a message, did not receive call-back, tried calling again 2x, no answer; even though clinic hrs indicated it was open this wee.

Dr.abdalla is the best family doctor you would ever see. I have been with her for almost 6 years. She is really professional and I always feel I am in safe hands. I am truly grateful that she is my doctor.

Dr. Abdalla is very unprofessional, she rushes you through appointments, gets annoyed when you ask questions, and has a very intimidating attitude as well. She just seems to be more concerned about getting as many people through as possible and is always reminding how many seconds you have left out of her 5 minutes average UNcare. The clinic is dark and not very clean, but the front desk ladies are nice,probably the only positive thing about the clinic. Please do not waste your time going there.

Dr. Botha is such a lovely and caring person and physician. Our family feels so fortunate to all be able to see her. Ive always had a good experience here but more recently had a few concerns and they were able to get me in on short notice which I really appreciated. Every time I leave I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Botha and am appreciative of the time she spends with you, listening to your concerns and providing such wonderful care. She will sometimes be running behind schedule but when you realize that she spends all the time listening to you and hearing your concerns you can appreciate that she is doing that with all her patients throughout the day so its understandable. With the difficulties facing family doctors these days with COVID and the health care cuts Dr. Botha is doing a wonderful job and we are lucky to have her in Calgary. Her team of nurses and admin at the from are alway so friendly and caring and remember who you are and ask how your kids are doing. Top notch care from the moment you walk in the clinic until the moment you leave.

Dr. Botha became my personal Physician after my Physician of 22 years retired. I honestly can't say enough good things about her. She ACTUALLY listens to what you are saying to her and investigates all of your complaints fully. She also has a delightful "bedside manner." I consider myself lucky to have had her as my GP this past decade.

Doctor Abdalla is the best! She asks plenty of questions and runs all tests possible before making a full diagnostic. I was worried about the results of some of my tests but as soon as she got them she called me to assure me they showed up normal. I trust her completely!

My boyfriend is currently suffering from Covid, and he had booked a phone consult with his physician due to not being able to have an in person examination as per recommendation from nurses on 811. He has been suffering due to his asthma and needed an inhaler prescription due to his laboured breathing. He unfortunately missed the first call as his Apple Watch died and his phone was in the other room, he immediately called back and the front desk staff said they called him 3 times when it was in fact only once. They were trying to tell him he needed to reschedule to next week, due to the urgency my boyfriend said no and he needed help today and could not wait until next week. They said they would have the doctor call him again. The doctor spoke to him early afternoon and prescribed an inhaler and said he would have it faxed to his pharmacy, he was advised him to hang up and call the front desk reception to give his pharmacy information. When he spoke to the receptionist he provided the location and fax number and said it would be sent over. It’s currently 7:40Pm on Friday night, the pharmacy did not receive the fax and the clinic is closed until 8 AM Monday morning. Now as someone who works in health care, this is in completely unacceptable and there are two steps that should have been taken due to the urgency of the medication needed. 1. Call in the prescription and speak to the pharmacist or leave a voicemail on the pharmacy phone. There is two options on voicemails at pharmacies. 2. If faxed, follow up and call the pharmacy to ensure the prescription has been delivered. Out of sheer laziness from the receptionists at the front desk, my boyfriend is now struggling at home coughing and trying to catch his breath and potentially having to choose to go to emergency to get an inhaler from the hospital. Judging by the other reviews on Google, the receptionists need to have a training session on how to properly care for patients. This is just a lack of empathy and professionalism on their part … not the first time I have heard many poor things about this clinic.

Dr Abdalla has been my Dr for years. Any time I have concerns she tells me what she thinks is happening but always listens to my input. Ive never had a doctor take the time to listen to what I have to say. Im immunocompromised and when I had COVID she called me every day to make sure I was ok. Very considerate. I am so glad she is my physician! The receptionists are amazing!
