★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kaslo is a must stop destination when in the area. In addition to great restaurants, there are breathtaking views of Kootenay Lake, a marina just a short walk from the main street, a great meat market, local artisans, and a fine hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for an absolute jewel of a town put Kaslo on your list! Soaked in history, this little mining town is worth the scenic drive from Nelson.
Once you get there, check out the old paddleboat and pop into Theresa's deli for the BEST roast beef sandwiches you have EVER had!
