I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lau’s now for over a decade and could not recommend him more. He’s knowledgable, personable, patient, and provides superior dental work. The technology used is state of the art, and each room equipped with a tv for distraction. The receptionists are also top of the line, I’ve never had a bad experience, always leave smiling and that’s saying something from someone with terrible dental anxiety. I’ve had to use another dentist for an emergency and they don’t even compare to the level of service I’ve received at Kanata Lakes.

With an excuse of 'pandemic' this clinic started charging $18 for each visit which is NOT insurance covered. When I visited last month, they charged me $18 and I thought they would provide well protected PPE, mask etc. for each patient, dentists and their assistants. Shockingly, I didn't find anything special the dentist and his assistant were wearing (they had their own clinic attire and mask as they had in pre-pandemic time). While paying the bill, the front desk lady told that the owner spent a lot of money to make the clinic more safer and that was the reason they started charging $18 by the name of health safety. If this is the case, why the next door oral surgery clinic doesn't charge this 'safety' amount of $18 ?

Love love going to my dentist. Thank you to Dr. Lau and his team, he always makes me feel comfortable esp when I had my root canal done, always explaining things to me thoroughly. The staff are amazing and always happy, and the front desk people are so friendly. Would recommend them and my mom already started coming here and she had an amazing experience as well.

I agree with most posts here (the ones I've read anyway) - great service, smiles, very pleasant staff. My only 'irk' here is that I've come to learn that most of the staff are not compensated entirely fairly. A business that is as presumably as successful as this one gets that way because of its entire staff (not just the great expertise of the dentists themselves). I certainly won't claim to know all the details, but at least 5 to 10+ years service and still only 2 weeks vacation as an example (again, possibly not ALL staff but at least a few hygienists). I can only hope there are other compensations for them I'm not aware of that help offset that type of 'antiquated gratitude'... but sadly, that's often not the case.

If you want to waste your Money & time book appointment with Dr. JOHN LAU, you've got no dental service done to your teeth but you still need to pay for your Visit. Poor dental Knowledge, Poor Customer Service.

In late April 2021 my dear 93 year old father required an emergency dental appointment with Dr. George at Kanata Lakes Dental Centre. My father and l were treated extremely well by Dr. George and his assistant who were both warm, compassionate and professional. Dr. George ensured my father was well tended to and took great care resolving his dental issue that day. Of course we have to give a great big thanks to the front office staff who made our visit unforgettable with their great sense of humour and kindness. Who would have thought going to the dentist good be such a great experience!

Terrible experience! I’m not a person to easily share negative reviews, but this one is necessary. The dentist took a wrong decision to put a short crown on my tooth which kept coming out (happened twice) so when I asked them to fix it permanently, they kept coming up with ways to charge me. First by saying crown costs have increased, secondly by saying the lengthening procedure would cost $500. Their office manager gave her word I won’t have to pay for something that isn’t my fault and booked my appointments. Then the receptionist kept calling me closer to the day of my appointment to find ways to reschedule appointments and persuade to pay. Very bad service overall.

The hygienists are all amazing. I have yet to have an unpleasant experience, and that's saying something because it's a freakin dentist's office! My three year old had her first appointment today, and the staff was perfect! She even walked out saying she loved the dentist.
