Kal Tire - Edmonton

Had an appointment booked for 11 am. Was told that it would just over an hour. Took more than three hours. This is a fleet vehicle we come here all the time and the last few visits have made me late for work appointments. Extremely frustrating when I'm sitting in the lobby there are no other trucks in the shop and no ones working on it.

For the last 3 years, I was a regular customer here. I bought winter tyres from here and would get them switched back and forth between my summers and winters. Last fall, I went in for the winter routine and when I went in to pick up my vehicle, they told me that my summer tyres were bad and they threw them out. They did not show me my old tyres as to why or how bad the tread was, I had to take their advice without "reason". I believe I may have had 30k on my summers at that point. They told me that it was because I probably needed a wheel alignment. My car was 3 years old at the time. So I booked a wheel alignment with them a week later. I got that done to find very minor adjustments on my alignment. Which made me really question their expertise. I will not be returning to this location, which is super unfortunate.

Went there this morning because my tire had a screw in it. The Forman walked over & said it wasn’t repairable. One of the employees walking my tire back to my car said he has no idea why he won’t repair it, my tires perfectly fine. Took it to trail tire & they repaired it no problem.

Literally have the best service experience every time I got to Kal Tire. Mayfield Toyota claimed one of my summers had a hole in them (beyond repair as the mesh was showing) and since it is an AWD vehicle, would have to replace all tires at a cost of +$1600…took the tires to Kal Tire and they fixed it for a small fee - turns out, it was just a small nail?!! Anyways, grateful for Kal Tires honesty. This isn’t the first time they’ve helped me in a pinch. I tell everyone to go to Kal Tire!

Went to Costco to get flat tire repaired and they said, it's not repairable and asked me to buy 4 new tires as my vehicle is AWD. Took that tire to this Kal tires location, they inspected and fixed it for only $45. Great service.

After several tire issues bought from another dealer, I finally decided to go in to Kaltire to educate myself. Curtis was working the front desk and listened to my frustrations I was experiencing with my current tires. His level of customer service was stellar. He immediately recommended two tire brands known to survive the harsh winters we have in AB, as well as our dry summers. I wanted something that could with stand year round weather. He actually brought me to the back to physically show me the tires, he explained the tread and the history behind the brands to back the product up. He also explained the customer care plan in detail and answered all the questions I had. I took a day to decide which brand I wanted to go with. The ordering and booking process was as simple as one phone call. They had the tires in the next day ready for installation. Vick was helping me the day of installation. He was knowledgeable and patient with any remaining questions I had regarding the overall warranty and installation process. While my car was in the garage, Vick brought back the report thoroughly explaining the service inspection. He even took pictures on his phone to show me one of the concerns they discovered. There was no push for further sales what so ever. He went above and beyond to provide me with a quote to have the recommended work done in the future. The quote was very reasonable. Kaltire also matches tire quotes from other providers. My install was finished well under the time they quoted. I highly recommend using Kaltire West end for any tire or service work. I feel safe with my new tires and extremely happy with the care they took to help me out.

Kal is the only tire dealer that has All Weather Tires readily available. My new NOKIAN tires are replacements for same brand same dealer. IMO, All Weather tires are MUCH better than All Season and not noticeably louder in operation. In and out in less than 2 hrs. Great service. Thanks very much.

I dropped in at the 170 St location yesterday and after the diagnosis, there wasn’t much time left to fix the problem. So Mr. John advisedly asked us to come in today. We did. Honestly, the service is top rate. My car was fixed and now drives like new. Most importantly, the location is tidy and efficiently run. Thanks John, you are awesome. Top, honest customer service.
