Right across the highway from an industrial plant which concerned me that it would ruin the hike. It did NOT. Basically a half km into the hike you can no longer hear the industrial noise. Went in the winter so the hike was actually walking IN the creek bed- it’s beautiful and a very cool experience walking through the narrow small “canyon” the creek runs through. Very slippery though, if you go in winter you really need good hiking boots or spikes. Short drive outside of Calgary.

Nice little hike. Pretty cool when you are walking through the canyon. Walking on the rocks and the creek bed isn't the best but it is pretty.

So beautiful!!! I hike with kids. Definitely worth seeing. Usually go to Grotto. Grotto is nicer kids hike in length and ice. Jura is a nicer place to explore. Fun!

It is a moderate hike. Saw families with small kids. Couldn't see a waterfall at the end of the trail in July.

Easy hike to start the hike season this summer. Not busy, and fantastic views

Hiked on a Sunday early afternoon. Several people but not too bad. We took two dogs without any issues. Rock canyons were very cool. We hiked up the river bed quite a ways after passing through the rock canyons. Had lunch then came back. Way less people after the rock canyons. We hiked without spikes on our shoes, there were some icy spots but most of it was fine. I would recommend bringing spikes though. Would definitely do this hike again!

Gorgeous, quiet, easy trail. I especially loved the closed in canyon areas. Had planned on hiking a ridge that day but it was so windy, I opted for this hike. It was well protected once you get past the initial open part of the trail. Opened up to some beautiful mountain views as well. Looking forward to going back and continuing to Loder Peak next time!

Lovely and sunny winter day! we hiked with 9 and 5 years old kids and they loved the Canyon part. We all wore spikes, I would say that it helped a lot in some icy parts. We got there at 9am and there were still parking spots available but once we got back the parking was totally packed. It was Saturday.
