★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoy taking violin lessons Joy, and tell everyone who shows interest in my new skill they should take lessons with her too! I met Joy when I purchased a violin from her last year; I discovered her online store and the tutorial videos she has created and it was obvious that she really loves teaching and cares about her students. She is a warm and friendly person with excellent teaching skills. As an adult learner, and someone who has spent many years teaching, I recognized that she can quickly assess what techniques will best help a student improve their playing next and that she really knows her stuff! I was so delighted to see all her students from young children to adults perform in the summer recital and how well she works with musicians of all ages and stages. With Joy I feel like we get to celebrate making music.
