Our eight year old budding Mozart loves performing in the spring and winter concerts and his teacher has been fantastic not only accommodating his ADHD but also in find new creative ways to make his weekly virtual lesson fun and engaging. Highly recommended!

โ โ โ โ โ We love ASM! Julie has created such a warm and welcoming environment for all of her students. We have two very different kids: one very outgoing, and the other very shy and reserved. Both have found a love of music at ASM over the past few years. Weโre so happy to be part of their community, and would recommend them to anyone.

From a parentโs perspective, we really appreciate all the offerings at Annette Street Music; from piano to ukulele and band, there is lots to add to your familyโs music education. Julie takes a thoughtful and committed approach to lessons, managing her studio, her students and to the community as a whole.

โ โ โ โ โ I first started taking piano lessons with Julie at Annette Street Music in 2013 after struggling to find a teacher that suited my learning style. Before Julie I had worked with at least 3 other schools with mixed results so I can confidently say Annette Street Music is one of the best (if not the best) out there. In addition to being some of the loveliest people on the planet, they're also super talented musicians and effective at teaching even the most challenged of students. I moved away from the Toronto area for a few years and as soon as I moved back I immediately signed back up for lessons. You won't find any better than Annette Street Music.

โ โ โ โ โ I have been taking piano lessons from Annette Street Music for 7 years. Iโm so glad I have stuck with it because I have really improved, all thanks to my teacher, Julie. She is experienced, kind and patient. She takes time to really get to know her students. Julie makes lessons fun! She also organizes recitals twice each year and gives kids lots of other opportunities to perform music, such as open mic nights and competitions. I have also had the chance to work with some other teachers at Annette Street Music who are also amazing teachers. You can tell that the staff care about their students. Annette Street Music is a great place for both kids and adults to learn to play an instrument! Linden, age 12

Julie is kind, patient and genuinely interested in giving my daughter creative freedom in a structured environment. Sheโs also super fun, check out their music lover's bake club!
Very creative, results driven and fun! I highly recommend them.

โ โ โ โ โ My son has been taking lessons with Julie for 6-and-a-half years. Her enthusiasm and patience encouraged me to start lessons too recently. Julie is a wonderful teacher. We've also had really positive experiences with other teachers (like Brenda) who subbed in at times. I especially appreciate Julie's understanding and creativeness in helping my son learn pop songs when he loses interest in the lesson book. I also witnessed Julie connect a special-needs child with music. I recommend Annette Street Music to anyone looking for music lessons. It's an inclusive place with great creativity and spirit.
