★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in Midland for a visit, and came across a one-of-a-kind quirky but beautifully made violin at Johnstone's. Steve was friendly, helpful, and patient while I tried it out. I'm so pleased with my new instrument, and I'll definitely make a point to pop in next time I'm in town to see what other hidden treasures Steve has on hand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store, lots of variety of musical instruments. Hey what's the deal with the weird dog at the back of the store who kept asking me if I was going to "Use the violin the way it was designed"? 4 stars because even though my artistic method is different I still ended up with a great new set of drumsticks. anyways I'm an adult baby, don't trust your cat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not impressed. Over a month i've been trying to get into my local and only music store. Only to find out that they have either closed earlier than posted online or the employee/owner is at a fire call emergency. I understand that volunteer firefighters are an essiential and needed but you must get another employee so you can stay open past 3pm.
