It's an emergency room so...there's a lot of waiting and there could be more coat hooks in the waiting room (and in the washrooms!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the hospital for whiplash from a car accident. After 5 hours of waiting I went to reception to get an idea for wait times. They apparently called my name 3 1/2 hours earlier and insisted I left or had headphones on, which I didn't. No one came on my side to call me. There was a woman yelling and security got involved and I was probably called during that time and I didn't hear. They never tried to call my name again. I had someone with me who was listening for my name when I went to the bathroom, so we wouldn't miss it.
When I explained the situation with proof of my first triage and they did not want to help me. They wanted me to go through triage and restart the line even though I had been waiting for 5 hours.i left because I had to work the next morning.
I went back the next day to see a doctor and the nurse was extremely helpful. Scheduled a tele-interview with a clinic. Later that afternoon when I didn't hear from the clinic I reached out. The clinic never received a fax from the hospital.
I went back to the hospital a third time and luckily the triage nurse was the one who saw my partner and remembered us and the woman who was screaming the night before. She was able to have me seen by a doctor in about an hour and I received a physio prescription. Only putting 2 stars because I saw a doctor and got what I needed, but it was a terrible experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wait time is terrible and the inscription don’t even know what they are doing there . I wonder how many doctors they have or if they just make us wait till the doctors start their shift . I waited a whole 15 hours to see a doctor in the emergency ward something that suppose to be quick . I have no idea how long it takes them to answer a patient when a doctor comes to speak to me they do not spend more than 3 minutes so I wonder what’s making them take time. Also the nurses there are not helpful at all . One was suppose to take my blood for testing and I didn’t know she was suppose to do that I waited for 1 hours I saw here discussing with her colleague and laughing I came out several times to ask them wants the next step . And then she finally said she will be taking my blood . That’s inhuman of them . I know it’s COVID but does making appointments matters Any more . Now I came here for just sinus and cough I have I just need a medication prescription and have waited 14 hours already without even a word from the doctor. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND WORKERS . I understand it’s stressful but they should put themselves in our shoes . Sick and looking for assistance and this is how they treated .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish I really could give no stars , google should bring the feature of no stars. Horrible people in inscription area, epitome of faulty Quebec health care. I’ve waited for almost 8hrs and I don’t think there are any doctors want to see patients here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking to lose your will to live then this is the hospital for you. Brutally unfriendly and uncaring staff. Wait times in excess of 10-12 hours. Zero communication. The worst hospital that I’ve ever experienced in any country.

My dad was here for 1 month without any progress before they accepted to transfer him somewhere else after asking them multiple times. It took him days to heal at the other hospital and we saw clear progress day by day. Jean talon hospital intensive care sector must be doing something wrong. if you want to live, dont come here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disgusting staffs. Been to that hospital a couple of times and I’m always discriminated only because I’m a cannabis user. They talk to you sarcastically and they make fun of your conditions. If I could rate a zero star I would. As a young professional that also work in the public everyday, I’m simply livid of what I’ve lived in that hospital. If your standards are high when it comes to customer service, I strongly suggest you try CHUM or Sacré-Cœur emergency. Care are way more adequate as the staff too. Respect should be a main priority since we’re humain beings and you offer health services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hospital represents everything that’s wrong with Quebec’s health system.
Nurse was lovely at the blood clinic, but the person on reception was a truly awful human being.
Will be the last time my local hospital. Not that they care, based on these reviews at how bad many people’s experiences are.
