She was clear, patient and positive in her teaching, and the time in class absolutely flew by as we had so much fun! Her and Joel has developed a great method for teaching "everyday dancing", allowing the dancer to apply ballroom dance techniques to everyday songs and settings. We can't wait to go back and build on our new knowledge!

But Joel was a great teacher whose good humour, clear instructions, and easygoing demeanour kept us progressing at a good pace and made the learning process fun. By our wedding day, we were doing turns, leans, and dips, and we had lots of compliments from our guests. We had so much fun that we still put on a song and dance in the living room from time to time. If you are short on time and need to have some presentable dance moves other than "awkward slow dance swaying" by your wedding day, Joel is your guy.

Both of us were beginners, but the natural dance approach was so easy and enjoyable to learn, and Clara was super helpful in teaching us key moves to upgrade our dance, and a base move that we could always come back to. I highly recommend taking classes here, we had a great time!

I was completely skeptical of doing a first dance at all at my wedding and even taking dance lessons (since I’m not musically inclined or very coordinated in dance), however, Clara made the lessons really enjoyable for both of us and our dance easy to learn. She choreographed the dance and also ensured that when we danced, our guests and photographer got the best views. Having Clara be our teacher just gave us a sense of confidence during the dance that we would have never had without her. Even when my wedding DJ got the version of the song wrong (ie. instead of a duet), my wife and I were still able to complete our first dance without anyone noticing and with many compliments. Well worth the lessons and lasting memories. I am even considering taken further lessons now just for fun. I wish I could give Clara higher praise than just the maximum five stars here.

Joel gave us the skills to really take the pressure off on the big day. There is no set choreography which we really liked. Joel taught us his “home base method” which makes the dance flexible and stress free. I would highly recommend Joel. If you’re looking for someone to help you prepare for your wedding day he is your guy!

Since both of us were beginners, we were initially looking for a choreographed dance but very soon realized the benefits of the natural dance approach that didn't require us to memorize any dance moves and allowed us to enjoy the moment instead! Joel was an amazing instructor and in just 4 lessons, gave us the confidence and skill set for a beautiful first dance. He was extremely enthusiastic and encouraging. It was an absolute pleasure to learn from him. We will definitely be back!

We were made to feel very comfortable, and Clara was able to incorporate very simple choreography that made us feel like we were dancing naturally, but with a few simple spins and the classic dip. I have danced my whole life, but my husband struggled a bit with the rhythm and timing at first, but after 3 lessons, we were able to put together a very nice, classy first wedding dance. The crowd loved our spontaneous coordinated moves, and we loved every minute of performing it!
