★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive, I could have made a better meal for half the price. Our chef just stood there and barely said anything or did anything interesting. Pretty sad experience after a number of us said it was our first time at a hibachi. He actually got annoyed when we asked if he knew how to do the onion volcano thing. Probably won’t go back to another Japanese village again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ STAFF YOUR RESTAURANT! Extremely disappointed. $150 bill and server ignored us as soon as a got my water (because she was the only one, can’t blame her specifically) and our chef was nice but awkward and didn’t provide any type of show bc he had so many tables to get through. Will not be back to this location. Workers and customers deserve better.

They apologized for our reservation being late and provided our family with complimentary drinks. They saw my kids wanted to use the chopsticks and couldn't. Without us asking, they provided my kids with chopsticks with elastics, already assembled. They have a kids menu that includes ice cream. Food was delicious. Will go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time at the downtown location on new years eve and it surpassed any expectations! Great service, delicious meal and a great atmosphere. Joshua served us and was hilarious throughout the whole experience. Also of note is they were able to meet gluten free and onion/garlic restrictions very easily which made the whole evening a great time. We most definitely will be back!

We felt as the employees were very attentive and entertaining. The cooking stations were especially entertaining and fun. The chef at our station had a great sense of humor and she was very personable.
The food, now that was an amazing part of the night. The food was Insatiably delectable and the portions were perfect.
It felt like fine dining without the prices that accompany it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally really enjoy coming to Japanese Village for the food and the experience the chef provides. Took my son for his 8th birthday this past weekend after explaining to him the experience and showing him multiple videos and generally getting him excited for the restaurant. We were unfortunately sorely disappointed by our experience. Our chef was not friendly or hospitable and didn’t provide the same level of show and general enjoyment you normally get when dining here. We could’ve went anywhere for a good meal and decent service but came for the experience and left really disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed the whole experience here! The chef was very thorough in cooking our food to our liking and making sure everything was properly seasoned/sauced. Service was very attentive and luckily they weren't too busy. Large portions, I took home enough for almost a whole second meal. Delicious and can't wait to go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chief is really entertaining doing those knife blade tricks its quite fun to watch. The shabu2 soup is like an egg drop soup but its to salty. Veggies are nicely cook same as my shrimp misonaise. This place is really busy and pack so its a good to do reservation before heading to eat.
