Company who has been in business a very long time.
They sent out their salesman names Lou. Lou is a great guy and advised me every step of the way on the products I was buying. There was No upsell or pressure to buy. The conversation was friendly and informative and with Lou's help we were able to choose the best products for us. The furnace I chose also had a 10 year parts and labor guarantee. J&S has to really believe in the products they sell to offer such a great guarantee and I am also very pleased with this.
On the day of installation, everything was done in a professional manner.
The lead technician name was Doug and he is a skilled man in replacement of the furnace. Everything went perfect in the installation and I have No complaints. They had to change some of the duct work to work with the new furnace and it looks perfect. I could not ask for a better installation job.
All in all, I recommend J&S as they know the job and do the job. I have
zero complaints and highly recommend them for top notch installation and service.

In spite of encountering one issue after another, they kept putting out fires until they had the job done right. I would definitely call on J& S again. Thank you guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We smelled smoke in our home and called the number on our furnace which I wish we hadn't done.
These people are extremely unprofessional. They promised me and my growing family that it was going to cost less than $500 to repair. We needed to know an exact cost though because during COVID and with a baby on the way, we need to make every penny cost jic! They were very not understanding and promised it would be under $500.... yet no invoice.... no paperwork, .... no purchase bill.
THEN FINALLY they send us the bill almost a month after and it was mailed with someone else's name and account information on it. It wasn't event he person who lived in the home before us. That should tell you that this is a company you should never go with.
They lied on the invoice. First of all it costed us over $700 for a minor fix which they couldn't do the day of so we were in the cold for over a week. THEN the bill included way more time in it then it took. The guy was there for only a few minutes but we were charged over an hour.
I just feel like if you want good service with people who treat you well and are honest,, upfront and care about you... this is definitely not the company to go with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My furnace stopped working end of January, I had one person come to my house and say the heat exchanger was cracked and the parts are under warranty (11 years old) but not the labour and it would be about $650 and he couldn't get to it right away. He recommended J&S, I called, gave them my model number and they told me the parts and most of the labour was under warranty. He told me maximum of 2 hours labour would not be under warranty. I called at the end of the day, the parts arrived the next day and service tech came the following morning to do the 6 hour job and the repair was done. The service tech was on time, polite, answered all of my questions and the furnace was up and running. Highly recommended.

My family and I own an 'M & M,' store in St. Catharines, we asked them to give us a rough estimate to repair our walk-in freezer door, and the problem is that even thou they couldn't do anything to repair it, they charged us for making rough estimate and we weren't happy with that. Therefore we won't turn to them ever again and if we need someone to repair our store again, we'll look for someone who offers free estimates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a pre-season furnace tune up in Sept. by J&S On Jan 28/22 the furnace stopped working. J&S technician arrived & very quickly diagnoses the vent motor is seized & will be well over $1000 to replace. Then he spends most of the 90 minutes we are charged for, talking us into replacing the whole furnace. We finally agreed & a sales rep would be over soon to show us our options. While waiting, I inspected the motor & determined the motor was not seized but obstructed. Upon removing the fan assembly & cleaning out the fan portion, the motor was spinning freely & whisper quiet. Reinstalled the assembly & the furnace has been purring like a kitten ever since. We came ever so close to dropping thousands of dollars that needn't be. Now J&S sends us a $200 service charge for a misdiagnoses. Clearly the tech. made no effort to repair or investigate further. Profiting from this is unreasonable to me. The sales rep has attempted to have the charge retracted but fell on deaf ears. I would not & shall not recommend J&S for any home appliance service.
