★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had some black bean noodles, and it was pretty good! I got the gan- version, which came with an egg and you get to pour the sauce in. Service was friendly enough, and it was reasonably priced. I think the one at Korean Village is cheaper and has seafood instead of pork and beef. Overall pretty good though, I went home with and entire box of noodles even though I ate until I was full.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little hole in the wall offers a lot more than you think. Hidden from the rest of downtown off the 7th Ave c-train line, Izumi is a decent little restaurant for lunch.
Went there with a companion for lunch. Great food selection on their regular menu and lunch menu, both are quite extensive.
Service is great. Super friendly staff, very helpful and courteous. Quick to seat, quick to take order, and food is served quick too. Server is very accommodating and eager to assist.
Atmosphere is nice. Clean, modern and warm as compared to some other Asian restaurants I've visited. Not small or cramped, large solid tables.
Overall I enjoyed my experience and definitely will return as time permits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food with awesome service from a hard working family! We ordered the pork bone soup and the Katsu Don. They were fresh, plenty and full of flavour. We love all the complimentary sides that come with the dishes as well. By far best Korean in Calgary. Highly recommend! We will come back for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've actually been here twice already, both experiences were great. Their katsu especially comes in generous portions and both the chicken and the fish being delicious and surprisingly detailed as they are paired with different sauces. The five stars is for the katsu.
Also had their jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and tteok-bokki (korean rice cakes), they were also good but not as outstanding.
