Services provided by this company are terrible. Random errors pop up all the time with seemingly no documentation or any sort of extensive explanation. Dataframes that work perfectly fine in pandas or even excel seem to be incompatible with deepsea. The myriad of frustrations that I felt during the use of this service are emotions I would never wish against my worst enemy. Don’t release products that aren’t developed enough for basic use. Let's be clear: deepsea makes really nice graphs. Data visualization is very nice, KPIs and all that look great. But if the core issues that your users are running into in uploading the very data you are trying to visualize in the first place have zero documentation, that is a problem. I spent several hours trying to resolve an error of which no indication of any line of code, any sort of potential fixes for the error, none of that was given.

We were required to use DeepSea in our programming class. I must say, that as professionals who have degrees in data science and engineering, their program is made horrendously. Firstly, their compatibility with Python (Which is what they base their service around), is extremely flawed. A program may work with no errors in the windows terminal but will yield a inexplicable "internal error" when uploading to DeepSea. To add to this, DeepSea's documentation is quite frankly garbage, and there exist no explanations to these errors. When contacting customer support, it seems that the creators of the program are equally as clueless (no clear answer is provided upon request). The overall usage of the program is horrible, and there are a plethora of bugs and flaws that make the life of the user horrible. DeepSea is supposed to be a data solution for people who do not understand programming very much. Quite frankly, I would rather make all my graphs and visualizations with MatPlotLib than use DeepSea and encounter weird and frustrating errors that hinder my ability to complete my homework. The whole point of a service like DeepSea is to shorten some time and effort on the programmer's end. Quite frankly, the only thing this company has given me is sheer grief and frustration. It has made me hate programming altogether. To all educators and programmers who intend on trying DeepSea: DON'T - It it poorly built and will not work with 80% of your programs, you will find yourself angry and annoyed when you realize that all of your hard work has to be thrown out the window because of a random "DeepSea Internal Error". If you want to work with reliable data analysis tools consider using a service provided by a large company (Such as Google Data Studio), and not a small startup in Calgary.

Upon first using this program, I have been left with nothing but stress, horror, and trauma. I truly do not see how organizations like the Calgary Flames are able to support the use of such an application. From the constant clogging to miscellaneous errors caused when programs will work on their own before combining with Deepsea, the terror does not end. If you are thinking of using this software or teaching it to a class, a suggest you do not. There is simply no information provided or tutorials on the syntax of what your code should look like, causing errors that may be impossible to even find to further occur. It is difficult for me to comprehend how such experienced individuals with SE and CS degrees are simply unable to create a user friendly environment at a professional environment like this. I don't think Johny Gaudreau would be too happy attempting to visualize his hockey statistics through such a complicated software like this. Maybe that is why the Flames blew a 1-0 series lead against the oilers to then loose 4 straight. These suspicious errors and complications throughout the website become a real pain for customers to deal with. Among us data analysts, there are also other well known software's available for substitution, so I suggest if White Whale wants to keep up and have a go in this industry, fix it.
