Italian Kitchen

Disappointing to say the least and almost a complete waste of time. We came here on a Monday night around 7:30. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks, appetizers and mains. The drinks were delicious and came within a few minutes. The appetizers also came within a few minutes albeit the server confused one of them and we got the wrong order. It was quickly remedied. All was going pretty well and the service was nice enough but then it went down hill quickly. After waiting nearly 15 minutes after our appetizers for our entrees, the server came over to which I thought he was going to tell us our food was coming right up but instead told us it would be “awhile” because we were behind a large party. We asked him approximately how long. He asked the manager how long and relayed to us that it was unlikely we’d get our food within the next 10 to 15 minutes. Unfortunately we had already been at the restaurant for just short of an hour and had ordered pretty quickly after we sat down. We had another obligation and couldn’t wait for our dinner so we paid our bill and left. Super disappointed as we left ourselves and hour and fifteen minutes to have a meal. Our server was nice but this situation was not handled well at all. The entrees were already late when we were told it would be unlikely to have them within 10-15 minutes. We won’t be back. This situation should have been handled much better. We either should have been told right from the start that there would be “significant” delays and we would have chosen an alternative or alternatively there should have been some semblance of rectification when we said we couldn’t wait for what was already late food. If we knew from the start it wouldn’t be possible to eat within an hour and fifteen minutes (more than a reasonable amount of time) we would have dined elsewhere. We ended up having appetizers for dinner and wasted a dining experience.

Another fabulous dinner at Italian Kitchen! We were very comfortable dining outside on their beautiful heated patio. I had the Fettuccine Alla Bolognese which was delicious. My husband enjoyed the gnocchi and a side order of squid. We finished off our meal with coffee and their wonderful Zeppole donuts for dessert. Many thanks to all the staff and especially our server Dave L. for his excellent service!

Reserved a table to celebrate my wife's birthday and I must say, it was a very good decision. We were seated at an intimate corner table, and once our waiter, Brad heard it was a special night, he delivered. From the gratis appetizer and dessert, the service was excellent and food was delicious.

The low stars are given due to potential food poisoning from the restaurant. My partner and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night. We ordered espresso martini, sangria, honey clams and mussels, tableside cooked lobster linguine and lamb rack. The drink and appetizer were pretty good. The lamb rack was cooked to a perfect medium rare. However the Cajun herb taste around the lamb was really over powering. They cook the linguine in a cheese wheel tableside. it was interesting to watch but the pasta had over powering pepper taste(they didn't even ask for the preference). A couple hours after the dinner, both my partner and I had extremely upset stomach. We contacted the restaurant to warn them but they never responded us. I'm not sure what it was but it can be either bad seafood(clams, mussel) or the cheese wheel they keep re-using to cook the pasta for everyone.

This place never disappoints! it is a staple every time I am in Vancouver for work. The staff is excellent and the food is just right. They have a great selection of wines and a menu that can satisfy any Italian craving.

Came here for my boyfriends birthday. My first time here and I was very impressed by the great service, especially from our server Brad! The food was great, we started with prosciutto followed by the fettuccine bolognese and truffle spaghetti and meat balls, all 3 dishes were amazing and very filling. I definitely will be returning to Italian kitchen, although next time I will order less food so I don't get full too fast. Otherwise, great place and i would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have a delicious and affordable Italian night!!

Had our anniversary dinner here this week. Cozy ambiance and quiet enough to carry a conversation. Most memorable dishes were the 20oz Prime Bone-In Ribeye (cooked perfectly) and the Charred Spanish Octopus antipasti. The Truffle Spaghetti and Meatballs were also delicious. We enjoyed their desserts as well.

"Update": I was there on weekdays for dinner and the staff was completely Junior and couldn't manage our order and service. (he took my friend’s plate and put his used and dirty fork on the table and created what you see ) Never order share plate as the size of portions are good for only 2 person and cost is covering 4 individual order.(see share plates pictures) Food still was delicious! My comment in weekends; If you want to have great food in a great Italian ambiance, try it for sure?? Tasty foods in all aspects! From appetizers to desert you will enjoy a concert with reasonable cost. Our host, "Candice" was a great one who made our night more joyful.
