★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truth is I’ve avoided this place since it opened because I don’t like the name. I went to a movie the other night, the Ballyhoo is conveniently located across from the cinema. I was pleasantly surprised by the good service, reasonably priced beer (good craft beer options) and a yummy grilled cheese. Limited menu due to covid at the moment but I left happy. Also enjoyed the layout inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you wanna experience the weirdness of vancouver go to this pub. Was so finely having a good night with some drinks (beers and whisky) and they all of a sudden stopped serving me!
I still cannot wrap my head around it. They just said we won't serve you anymore. I was having a good time so didn't argue and left. I Just GUESS I won't be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed this place because it felt like they focused on classic drinks and pub fare (my favourite basics) but twisted the food and drinks to make them unique but familiar enough to be accessible and fresh. I felt excited at the menu in a way that I haven't felt at a lot of other similar restaurants! I will definitely go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What I want a modern pub to feel like. Bartenders say hi to you when you walk in, the room is super dark and cool, and they have a pool table! Also they have that Mike Robbins pizza I’m in love with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great drinks and atmosphere. Didn't try the food, but would come back just for the vibe. The music was also really fun, though I would have preferred it a tiny bit quieter so I could hear conversation better. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited later on a Saturday evening with my partner, as we decided to pop in for one whilst walking back to where we were staying (was on vacation in Vancouver). The bar was relatively busy and the service was good, however, was disappointed to look at the menu and realise it was a chain as was the same as a bar we had been too earlier that day - not a problem overall just hadn't been expecting it. The drinks we had were nice though, however the bar was pretty hot and I had to get out of there as quickly as possible when I noticed the huge Maggie Thatcher picture on the wall - not interested in looking at that witch on my weekends!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're ok with half a cocktail at full cocktail price, go to this place. I've never had a margarita like it. He said there was tequila in it, but who knows? Didn't taste like it.
Then we ordered a margarita pizza to go, add shrimp. We got a pepperoni pizza with shrimp. Maybe the bartender was drunk? I don't know.
