This family run business was referred to us and they did not disappoint. The advice given was intuitive to our desires and the delivery was on time and effortless. Small details were immediately addressed and budget was right on the quote. There are many important decisions to be made when doing a kitchen reno. The most important and best decision we made was to select Mike and Island Dream Kitchens for our project. Mike is one of the guys who just "Takes Care Of You". He coordinated all the trades - relieving us of any stress associated with the timing of removing our old cabinetry , old floor and installation of new flooring, appliances, tiles etc. There were no "extra" charges - he made adjustments we asked for without adding any cost and the bill was exactly as quoted and really went above and beyond what was required by his quote. We now have an amazing kitchen that we are very proud of.

We recently underwent an extensive home renovation, thus visited several kitchen showrooms in Victoria before choosing Island Dream Kitchens. We had an idea of what we wanted, impressing it had to be something unique, something that made a statement and that it surpassed the mediocre quality we'd seen thus far. From our very first meeting, Mike and his team listened, were very patient, engaged and step-by-step pointed out why their cabinets stood out from the rest. This is a hands-on family run business and Mike's son, Dylan (who is a Red Seal Cabinet Maker) excelled in solving our site difficulties and came up with some very unique solutions that continuously exceeded our expectations. After we agreed on the design, settled on a price, we were continually impressed that there were never any cost 'add ons' for the tweaking of ideas. It is so true...you do get what you pay for! As we went through the planning stages, Mike always had an open mind and that was at the forefront with his expertise and knowledge for making our vision a reality. He always took the time to listen and promptly returned our calls. Mike offered his professional opinion in a way that made us look at things we had not even thought of, while at the same time validating our planning. Mike and his whole crew were creative and adaptable and all changes were welcomed and embraced. Island Dream Kitchen delivered us a beautiful kitchen that we're not only pleased with, but are now complimented on repeatedly. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is so distinct, we actually added on several other features during our renovations. We are just as pleased with our new wet bar, display cabinet, powder room vanity, built-in book case and a stunning archway with wainscotting in our dining room. They even went so far as to advise and assist with repairs to our existing built-ins. They truly believe and deliver. 'A satisfied customer is a happy customer'. This is the third kitchen we have designed and it has far surpassed our other experiences. We continue to be 'Over the Moon' with our gorgeous customized home that has not only met our needs, but exceeded our expectations and actually came in on budget! December 2019 Yet another 5-star review. Ours was kitchen refacing with some new cupboards added. The whole process was enjoyable, thanks to Mike and the crew from beginning to end. Particularly liked visits to the shop, when materials were explained with samples, and lots of advice given. The cupboard machining and finishing was exacting, and installation was accurate and spot-on. The impact of the finished kitchen was beyond what we expected and has been a delight every day. We were extremely pleased with the kitchen renovation Island Dream Kitchens did for our home in Cordova Bay. From the initial design stages to the final finishing details, we were very satisfied with their work. Mike Brown, President of Island Dream Kitchens, did a wonderful job of helping us refine our ideas, and gained our confidence and settled our nerves as he guided us through the process of finalizing a plan and choosing cabinets, countertops, appliances and hardware. His son, Dylan, was also very helpful, adding computerized images of the plan, and his excellent custom cabinetry skills to the project. We enjoyed working with Mike’s team and tradespeople, who arrived as scheduled, and provided excellent installation and finishing work. The results were beyond our expectations, both in functionality and appearance. We’ve had many compliments on the new kitchen from friends and family. We recently got our kitchen renovated by Island Dream Kitchens and are extremely pleased with how it looks now. The workmanship and services offered by Mike and his team were excellent. Mike listened to our ideas and offered his suggestions too and worked with us to get it done within our budget. He always addressed any concern that we had and was very prompt in responding to our calls and messages. We pointed out a flaw in our kitchen counter after it was installed and he readily took back the entire counter, did a new one and installed it to our satisfaction. It looks great now! We were building our Lake House on Shuswap Lake in the Interior of British Columbia, and contracted Island Dream Kitchens to design, build and install our custom cabinetry in the Kitchen, Laundry Room, Bathrooms and each of the closets in the bedrooms and entry way. We also had them design a custom wood counter top for the laundry room. They delivered amazing craftsmanship on time and on budget and focused on the detail to ensure we were 100% happy with the outcome. It was very clear throughout the process that qualified caring professionals had taken charge and even in the middle of the install when we requested some modifications to the design, they were quickly deployed without another word. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and we were even updated with photos along the way so that we could feel a part of the project before the installation. Last year my wife and I decided to redo our kitchen and living room entertainment unit. After a number of contacts with various companies and a number of home visits and quotes, we invited Mike Brown to come and finalize the project specifications. We chose Mike because of his honest assessment of what needed to be done in our living room. He provided an option that made a lot of sense to us contrary to what others were suggesting. He was detailed in his assessment of our kitchen needs, right down to the process of replacing the shelf tape trim. We chose material and color and left the project in the hands of Island Dream Kitchens. Tracy, the Project Manager, came out for final measurements and he was fantastic. A great personality and very, very knowledgeable. The renovation timeline fit perfectly with what was going in our lives and Tracy and his team managed to adjust effortlessly to a few requests that we made during the process. The results speak for themselves. About a month after install, we had an accident in our kitchen which took a chunk out of one of our cabinet doors. We called Mike and he took the door and completely refinished it for us in 48 hours at no charge. Class act! The project has long since finished and I am still amazed at the quality of the transformation. My wife and I sometimes just say to each other “wow”.
