I thought we could settle the bill easily that way. They absolutely refused to give me a breakdown. Go ahead and ask them if you hire them. A valid breakdown would support their claim. Only makes me wonder more, what charges were inflated. Not a transparent way to operate a business. In spite of this I would still like to give a shout out to Rupert!

The office was helpful and organized and was able to schedule Rupert, who is very experienced, professional, and knowledgeable fix our shower. I sent pictures ahead of time, he arrived with all the parts and solved immediately. Thank You!!!
V	VX Vancouver Island on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First call the Doran & Sons employee wrongly identified the source of an under sink leak, and then applied coloured sealant (which did not fix the leak) which we later had to chip out and replace with clear sealant. The employee spent most of the time on site preparing an estimate for a bathroom renovation that we had requested (in advance of the visit) and a year later despite numerous requests (phone calls, text, email) the company has failed to provide any information (measurements, etc) related to the estimate. Second call was made when it became obvious the leak was not fixed; a different employee correctly identified the cause which was that we needed to replace the faucet. So in the end we paid for two visits ($230) and obtained a new tap and installed it ourselves to solve the problem. We have no objections to paying for the second visit advice, but an invoice of $230 in the circumstances seems a bit steep. Furthermore, we never received the estimate promised, though it appears to us as though we paid for the time required to measure, etc in preparation for that estimate. We have given up trying to discuss this personally with Geoff Doran, who is in our previous experience a nice guy with integrity. We used Doran and Sons extensively in the past for major renovations and minor repairs and were very happy with their work so this recent experience was both puzzling and disappointing. Given our most recent experience we would not use or recommend this company.

The best company I've dealt with in a long time. Did everything they said they would when they said they would do it. Very impressed!!
