Talked to the manager and she started screaming on the phone and swearing. I would suggest to any company looking to get this absolutely unprofessional so called collections agency to stay clear. This yelling and swearing was done even after the payment was made. They dont mark your file as paid several weeks after making payment. terrible!

I've have no issues with credit I've my number for years and I receive calls from this company on a daily basis with no reply on the other end. I called the number back was told just ignore the calls. I called them again and requested written assurance that they will not be calling me anymore. I was threatened with credit action and further calls. This company steps over the line of the law.

Pretty much scum of the Earth - Wife received Robocalls for months about an "Urgent Matter", sounded like a phishing scam so never bothered to call back. Finally got sick of the calls & picked it up, turns out it's for $150 in "Exit fees" from Direct Energy for the house we sold 3 years ago, & never once got a bill for! We asked for some kind of bill or statement explaining why we owed this, their answer was we don't have that, you just need to pay. Um, no I don't, still sounds like a scam. It's been over a month now dickering between them & Direct Energy, was fairly civil at first as all we wanted was an itemized bill of what we owed and why, we broke a contract, didn't read the fine print, sucks, but OK, we'll pay. Neither they nor Direct Energy seem able to provide anything about this exit fee or why we owe it so it's degenerated to them lying & haggling with us to just pay $100 and they'll close the case, otherwise they'll take "legal" action. I still said no, show me proof & I'll pay the whole bill, they say they can't & we have to take that up with Direct Energy but in the meantime they'll be taking action and it will effect our credit rating, or pay the $100 and we're done. You do know what extortion is right, and that it's illegal? Fine, ruin my perfect credit (or try to), bully & extort away, you'll not see one penny from me, if Direct Energy can prove I owe them anything I'll pay them direct and you can go after them for your cut, in the meantime I'll be filing complaints against you with every consumer & credit bureau I can find. And shame on Direct Energy too, all this for a $150 which we never actually got a bill for? We had our mail forwarded for a year and received our bills from you thru ePost in the first place, was I supposed to forward my mail indefinitely on the off chance you did some kind of system review that magically determined we still owed you money? Gimme a break. Rant over.

I’m being pestered for an “estimated bill” on a property that was boarded up for for one year of the billing. Had the power turned on for 1 month for my wedding. The agent rude and has no proof of usage. I’ve literally never seen such a scam as bad as this in my life! The Ontario location should be shut down for for fraud! One must use power to be charged for power. The said estimated bill is so bogus that they say no access to the property to do a reading. My family knows the meter reader and he went to my parents home to get the key to read the meter when the power was on. He went to my parents home to key the key to Quote “get the final reading” early August 2017 after the service was ended.

Hey International Credit Experts, That's super cool that you can offer such a sweet deal. I won't take you up on it though because I'm not "Debra XXXX", I don't have a President's Choice account, and I don't live in North America. I thought I made this clear the last time you e-mailed me. If you really want the money from this Debra person, maybe you should actually get in contact with the ACTUAL debtor. This is not very professional, guys. This puts you about on-par with the Nigerian Princes who keep e-mailing me. Also, I don't know what the data protection laws are like in North America, but in Europe it's illegal to share the private data of other people without their permission. And I seriously doubt that Debra XXXX gave your company permission to share her home address with unknown people and/or entities. I mean, who knows how many people and/or companies you're demanding money from, claiming they're the Debra you're looking for. Maybe you should confirm the identity of the person you're e-mailing before demanding payment from them, or sending other people's sensitive information to them. But that's me just assuming that you're a company that's on-level and no super sketchy. Maybe it's true what they say about making assumptions, at least in this case. That said, I have 100,000 bars of pure gold with your name on it; all I need is a deposit and I can send it right over. Money transfer work for you? Looking forward to a swift payment from you, Not-Debra, but-definitely-a-Nigerian-Prince

Wow, just wow. If I didn't know what harassment was before I certainly do now. Never in my life have I dealt with such a rude and verbally threatening individual. I didn't even get a chance to hear his name properly because of how loud he was speaking, but I will assume it's Richard based on other people's reviews. I was threatened that I would go to jail, that I would destroy my credit if I didn't cooperate, and that they would call my work among other things. Very simply put, I know the law and others should to. If people like this call you and make threats, you can tell them that you don't consent to a recording and that you don't want them to contact you anymore at home or at work, that's your right. Furthermore, they have no right to make threats or try to lead you to believe that you'll be prosecuted or go to jail. As for these people in this disgrace of a company, they're getting reported to the office of consumer affairs for their practically mob-like tactics in speaking and communicating with you. One things for sure, if one of these people shows up at my door to try harassing me they're going to have another thing coming.

I keep getting phone calls from this company. I do not have any business with this company, nor do I owe money to anyone. When they call, they are asking for someone who's name I cannot even pronounce. I have told them on three or more occasions that they need to stop calling my number. That doesn't seem to work. Today, I called them again because their automated system call my phone, again. I spoke to a man (name unknown) that was very rude and hung up on me. Before hanging up, he did say he would remove my number from the file (just like the other people I spoke to in the past), but I am skeptical. I tried to tell them that I would pursue this legally if the calls did not cease, but the man in question decided he had heard enough and hung up before I could finish my sentence. If you owe money to this collection agency, that's one thing. But if you are like me and being bothered by them because they can't take the time to properly update their files, then that is just pure incompetence.
