Not the highest of quality units, the property manager is an a-hole and if you have any issues it takes them forever to fix it. He will try and make you pay for anything wrong with the unit when you move out and threaten you. Everything is half assed. Lots of druggys in the buildings, it always smells like weed and people don’t seem to understand they are in a building and play music super loud and when you make complaints they say they will look into it but nothing is ever done/ You get what you pay. Only upside is the area has pretty much everything you need within 5-10 mins

You get what you pay for here. Everybody blames the property manager but face it, it's the owners who are cheap and gives them a small budget they have to work with. Don't blame the middle man. A previous comment said he told some girls to come back with jobs and older. Well maybe they should regardless of if she was having a baby or not. Rent is not cheap even in this run down place and roommates don't always work out. A Minimum wage job just won't cut it to keep up with the rent.

Probably the worst place I've ever lived. We were told that the apartment was in excellent condition and in fact it was disgusting. They would not let us see the apartment before move in, their excuse was that someone was still living in it. We have filed many complaints to their head office and nothing has changed. The property manager is always making up stories as to why the work is not done, etc.... The latest was receiving an eviction letter for non payment of our rent when in fact it was paid in full and they "misplaced!!!" the receipt of our payment, never bothered to call us about it.. We have all our copies of payments, then tried to give us a eviction date of 14 days later, after receiving the letter. Funny how they are sitting on our last months rent. They have never paid us the interest they are accumulating on our last months rent, that they have had for 1-1/2 years now. I've talked to many of our neighbors, who say, that it was a nice place to live before this property manager was put in place about 3 or 4 years ago. Most of these people have filled complaints with their head office in Ottawa and still no change.

The pipes make loud noises all the time. Did not enforce mask policy during pandemic. Had bell enter every apartment to do unnecessary work during a pandemic. Terrible. Security is useless and the wiring is dangerous as the walls are always hot around certain outlets. Even with nothing plugged in.

I like this place! The landlord has always been kind to us, and the rent is fairly affordable. They have never entered the apartment without prior warning, and have recently done many upgrades to the halls, lobby and laundry room. Worth it for a first-time renter, or if you're looking for an affordable place to raise a family. A couple things to consider: laundry is expensive at 5$ a load for wash and dry; parking is now charged for visitors at any point during the day, and not just for overnights. All in all, well worth it in my books :)

The unit is quite large for what I pay for rent. And the neighbourhood is great to live in. The management however is terrible. The super is incredibly rude about any inquiries or requests for work orders. He will reply to emails within seconds or minutes dismissing any questions you might have and dismissing any validity there may or may not be with perceived problems without even affording the tenant the benefit of the doubt. (Not just myself- other tenants as well) There are issues with ants running rampant in the building as well as carpet beetles which are virtually impossible to get rid of on your own. Any Inquiries I have placed about having someone do something about it after all of my efforts were exhausted were met with β€œwell you’ll have to pay for it” After quite a push to have someone come in and look, I was told I needed to pull everything out of all cabinets closets etc, and all furniture away from walls as someone was coming in to deal with the bugs. As it turns out, they merely placed gel traps in spaces that were easily accessible and I tore my apartment apart for nothing. Within the first couple of months living here, I opened up the baseboard heaters to clean in and under them as I suspected the carpet beetles were having a party in there and sure enough they were. There was also so much dust caked around every crevice, someone’s old QTips and old strips of subway sub club stamps.... which I’m pretty sure haven’t been in circulation since the 90’s. Based on the sub club stamps, God only knows if proper cleanings were ever done of the units between tenants. Inquiries to have old drafty windows inspected were ignored and request to have weather stripping placed around the patio door that has visible space around it letting cold air and flies in were also ignored. He has gaslighted me on several occasions - as well as other tenants. The tenant above me has issues turning his water off and often floods his apartment sending water gushing down the walls and seeping into my unit through nail holes for photos etc. When I asked about what they do about the water now flooded through the walls, the answer I got was β€œnothing”. There is no doubt that mildew is likely growing behind the walls. I can appreciate that I’m living in an old building and it won’t be perfect, but the part that really disappoints me is the degree to which the property manager is so rude and dismissive regarding normal tenant concerns. The woman who works in the office is wonderfully kind and helpful. I really appreciate her. Most of the time I will try and address my emails specifically for her in hopes that I can deal with someone who is reasonable. He will answer immediately, despite addressing the email for her. Lastly, pre-pandemic when I used to go in to the office to pay my rent, I would work hard to leave work a bit early to be able to get to the rental office to pay my rent on a Friday, and I would often arrive at 4:45 pm only to find that they had closed the office early, or find someone there who would attempt to turn me away because they were closing up. Office hours were posted as being open until 5pm. People should be able to show up at 4:59 and pay their rent. You do not close a shop up 15 minutes before closing time and turn customers away. The same thing applies to a rental office.

I would like to warn people looking at this place as somewhere to live. I have been living here for 10 years now and since the new management came around everything has turned to the worst. The building is very old and not maintained. The management is very rude and work is never done. I have placed many notices to have my toilet fixed that overflows with suds from the rest of the building. The toilet is not even in use when this happens and it causes flooding threw the entire bathroom floor. The windows are so old that they barely open and when the wind blows, it comes right in with all the lady bugs also. They have done some work outside my apartment and had mud fly over both my windows, one of them on the second floor that I can not reach. I have asked that it could be cleaned so that I can see out of them and I was told they don't have time and I should hang out the window and clean it my self. They are also very unorganized and need to send many letters for the same things. They tell you to move your car from the garage or it will be towed because they want to clean. But then they pass it to another day and resend these letters again. Even in the letters you can see the rudeness. Parking is a mess. You pay up to 60 per spot and need to pay extra per hour if you have visitors. Laundry is another thing to think about. Its 5$ per load and if you want hot water good luck. They turn the hot water off to save money. If the machine breaks with your cloths in it its your loss.

Lived here 3+ years and its has just gone straight down hill. From the consistent power outages in the summer to the heinous smells in the basement, this has been one of the worst experiences my family has ever had to deal with. Not to mention the BEDBUG infestation that drove us out. We informed the management about the issue in early January 2022 and they did the bare minimum to stop the spread.
