About Indian Head Animal Clinic
She did her pre-veterinary studies through the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba and then packed up again to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. Upon graduating she started her veterinary career in a mixed practice in Balgonie, met a man who could dance, married the man, and raised two daughters. Once the daughters arrived, she gradually took on small animal practice exclusively.
Her first reason for choosing veterinary medicine still holds: animals cannot speak for themselves but make us better human beings for knowing them. They deserve our attention and care.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys her family, her pets, being active with a martial art, tending perennials and trees, and just generally trying to make her own corner of the world more beautiful. She and Mike still dance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely horrible! I have a new puppy went in a month ago took samples diagnosed with a UTI given medication for it and cleared up. My dog has uti again. They demanding to take sample again because they never actually did culture first time. I refuse to put her through the procedure for urine asperation as there is always a risk. Refuse to help me at all.
Front desk straight out told me I was a horrible owner to refuse the procedure. The clinic used every tactic to make me spend more money and not do it right the first time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vet was sweet but cursory and opted only to give a short term medication without answering any questions or developing a plan beyond a brief course of medication. Vet was unresponsive to questions beyond a rushed 5 minute consultation. The office charged $81 for this inadequate consultation and then charged an extra $22 to write the prescription which was the only course of treatment offered. The office told me I may need to pay another fee to renew the prescription beyond 30 days, but that they would sell me months worth of medication if I bought it from them. Expensive yet deeply unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went with my husband a while ago for a standard vaccine procedure. Walked into an absolute nightmare. Employees were too busy gossiping to assist us and tend to our needs. Front end blonde lady absolutely reeked of marijuana, ladies looked absolutely miserable and even heard them making fun of the only decent employee we had witnessed during our visit.
Did some small town digging and found out she was let go. What an absolute disgrace. Visit this clinic if you are interested in going back to high school drama.
Wouldn’t recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best staff!! Chloe was treated SO well. Every step of her treatment was explained clearly too me. My bill was actually less $$ than I expected! She was even carried out too my car for me too be sure she was safe and comfy before I drove away!
