About Impressions Orthodontics
Dr. Nadia Nizam is an orthodontist in Calgary, Alberta, who specializes in creating beautiful smiles for all ages. Dr. Nizam obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Distinction from Dalhousie University, Halifax (2003) and her Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from the University of Western Ontario, London (2009). Before starting her orthodontic career, Dr. Nizam was a Captain in the Canadian Army, stationed in Kingston, Ontario.
Dr. Nizam BSc, DDS, MCID, FRCD (C) is passionate about her career and maintains membership with local, national and international associations. Dr. Nizam runs her own study club where she educates general dentists and their staff on the need for orthodontics and when to refer patients to a specialist.
Dr. Nizam enjoys spending time with family, friends, running, hiking, cooking and baking. Her dream one day is to become a Le Cordon Bleu Chef. She loves to travel and explore the world and its diverse cultures. She and her husband are proud parents of two beautiful children. They travel at least 2-3 times a year to somewhere they have never been and teach their children the value of diversity and adversity.
She and her staff believe in treating patients exactly the way they would treat a member of their own family. Dr. Nizam appreciates that parents and individuals make a large financial commitment when they start the journey of straightening their smile and bite. She takes this commitment seriously and respects it.

Dr. Nizam is just something else, she's such a lovely person all around and has a gentle hand. Never felt a thing while on treatment. I would 100% recommend this office to friends and family. I don't leave a lot of reviews so I'd say if you're looking for an orthodontist, I would definitely recommend Impressions Orthodontics.

After our first child finished her treatment, we were faced with a very complex case with our second, which we decided to entrust with Dr. Nizam. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was referred to Dr. Nizam for Invisalign to treat TMJ and some misaligned teeth and was told she is the best in the city, which it turns out she absolutely is! Dr. Nizam has made Invisalign such a smooth process and I am so grateful for her skillful and efficient appointments that are always on time. All of her staff are friendly and helpful and it is such a pleasure seeing all of them. I can't even believe I can say this but ending treatment will be bittersweet because I truly enjoyed my experience so much with this office.

Dr. Nizam takes her time to get to know each patient and was always ready to answer my questions, and made me feel like I was an important patient with how well versed she was in my progress at each appointment. If you're considering Invisalign or braces, this is the place to go!

A big thank you to their financial coordinator Thao , she went above and beyond helping me with the Insurance claims. They treat me as a family and I am sure other patients experience are the same. Dr. Nizam discussed with me how she think she can help me and I agreed to it and trusted the process. My teeth improved and the smile and confidence that I lost for a long time has come back. Very accessible, answering questions right away at any time and even respond to text messages! I have truly enjoyed my experience so far and have enjoyed every visit. Believe it or not but your appointment time is the actual time you get seen. Imagine that? Great place! Highly recommend!
