After many bad experiences with ICBC and its accredited shops that made me question the legitimacy of the business. The situation escalated and I got a hold of the Estimator Manager Kevin Laguico, this one individual changed my whole experience. After nearly 2 years of feeling like ICBC was working against me and feeling like I had to go above and beyond just to make sure I was treated fairly, this wonderful individual changed all that. I was told one thing by an estimators and would go online and find out that in fact it was quite opposite. The frustration only grew when the shop owner tells me the repairs would all be covered, only to find out after the repair is done that I had to pay for half of it. Once the situation escalated, Kevin called me and listened for 20 whole minutes as I explained the situation I was in. I can only imagine how busy he is and already just the fact he had given me his time already made me feel like he had my best interest. He called me back moments later after he had spoken to the shop owner giving me the news that ICBC will deal with the costs. After speaking with estimators for nearly a month going back and forth through emails and calls, Kevin gave a resolution in less than 30 minutes. As someone who works with people, I could tell immediately that he genuinely wanted to help. Overall, he gave a resolution to this frustrating situation and went above and beyond to make sure I was being treated fairly. A genuinely wonderful individual. Thanks again Kevin.

I spoke to Colin after being on hold for quite a bit. This was my first collision and I was pretty stressed and shaken up. He patiently listened to every detail and reassured me a ton. He went over step by step what I had to do, and what to expect. Just now I followed up again after updating something and got Jessie on the line. She also let me know step by step what to expect now and explained everything with patience and kindness. Thanks to you both for being so nice when you probably deal with all sorts of stressed out people on a daily basis.

The first icbc that refused to let me pay my fine, some guy named Bill said all icbc offices do this, that statement isn't true. I went into an autoplan, not a claims center. Bill was grinning when he told me to leave. Rude awful service

It's ICBC and anywhere you go you will always meet some nice people, but that's the rule, and contrary to popular belief the exception never proves the rule. It doesn't mean it's a great company. I'm not at Liberty at the moment to disclose anything about ICBC but be sure when the time comes, and it will come I will give you full undisclosed details.

Called in to process a claim. Initial call didn't go as well hence the 4 star. Waited for about 15 minutes and when the call finally went through...it started ringing and someone picked up. While I was waiting for someone to speak, they hung up on me(within 2 seconds of someonepicking it up). I decided to try it one more time, again waited for about 15 minutes. This time I was able to speak to someone and answered all the questions I needed to ask.

I think most BC residents know the reasoning behind the one star if you have been involved in an accident and was either injured or determined to be at fault for things you aren't. Oh by the way, the supervisors would determine the liabilities of an accident based on one driver's statement when there are four drivers in total with one of them stating the opposite WITHOUT even getting any photos or videos from the site or the vehicle damages. I will not bother with this and despite the new rule dodging lawyer's involvement, I will have this brought to Civil Resolution Tribunal since clearly ICBC is not capable of doing proper investigation on car accidents.

I went in today, February 23rd at 3pm, to dispute a ticket. The front desk lady (I didnโ€™t get her name) was an older lady that greeted me. I explained to her I came to dispute a ticket. She was unhelpful and kept making me read the back of my ticket when I asked her if I can dispute my ticket! She kept saying โ€œread the backโ€ in a very demeaning way. I told her in the past my friends and I have disputed a ticket in person before at an ICBC office. I even suggested I could be at the wrong office and asked for assistance in disputing the ticket. She continued to repeat herself by making me read the back of ticket! She even said there is no way you disputed a ticket in person before and laughed when I explained that I was able to dispute it in person. Another staff member came from behind and said you must have gone to a licensing office. This young lady was polite enough to be helpful and was able to answer to my question. I also wanted to add how the office was completely dead and I was the only customer there so I did not see the need for the front desk person to rush me and be so belligerently rude. I advise ICBC train their representatives to be nice or maybe set up a few workshops so the employers can learn how to talk to customers politely. If they were unsure, I would expect them to tell me that and perhaps work proactively to find a solution. ICBC has a monopoly but that does not mean that customer service should be on back burner.
