Service was friendly, but they could not really help us. Note that although this is affiliated with HUB International, they are NOT Hub International TOS and cannot see those accounts. They are Hub International Barton Insurance.

Went here to put insurance on my van that I cancled in april. The very rude woman gave me guff for not returning my license plates when I canceled in april when covid was on a roll even when i was told by icbc to keep the plates due to covid. The woman barked at me about how I'm not allowed having the plates. I asked when should have i returned the plates? I got a snappy response "when its was safe". Conversation went on and then she told.me I needed a void cheque for my insurabce when I was paying the year in full. I left went to Westland insurance and I had it done in 20 min no bank paperwork or void cheque require. And last year when the new icbc rates came out I was told by them that even if someone lives at my house and does not drive my vehicle once my rates are reflected based on the lowest drivers rates in the house hold...which is not true.

The lady yelled at us when my sister and I walked in for transfer papers. Apparently two ppl cannot come in for insurance because of COVID rules. Even though we are from the same family, were masked up and were following all provincial guidelines. We both had to sign documentation - I was forced to yell across the room and trade places 50x to sign things (talk about privacy concerns..). Was completely put off by the woman's tone, attitude and rudeness. Will not come back here. A daughter with her elderly mother was also turned away from helping her, even though the woman struggled with hearing.

I've had my insurance here for years. I moved and called to have my address changed for my renters insurance. Called once and left a message with no call back, called a 3nd time and was told she would get a quote and call me back....no call back. Called a 3rd time and complained, got sent over to the managers line and left a message....no call back. Called a 4th time to let them know what I needed and what has happened so far, she told me she would try to have someone call me....and still no call back. That was 2 weeks ago since the last call. Horrible customer service!! 4 times I've called and still nothing!! Disappointed and moving my business somewhere else.

This is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They never return phone messages left on voicemail, they do not do what they say they will do if you finally do get a hold of them, they didn't process my cancellation and then had the audacity to send a bill for a cancelled policy for a place I don't even live in any more. A complete and utter joke. They basically take your money and then do nothing. You have no reason to listen to me, but if you want my advice, go anywhere else. Anywhere. If I could give negative stars I would.

Numerous requests to renew my home insurance. Zero response to any of them after using this branch for 12 years. Instead of begging for service, I decided to go with BCAA. Sure hope this branch can improve their service. It used to be great.

I'll be honest; in the past I've received mediocre service here but keep coming back due to its convenient location. Yesterday I came in to insure a brand new utility trailer I purchased online from Home Depot. It's a pretty unusual situation so the agent had to consult with colleagues and had to phone ICBC multiple times to make sure I had the right paperwork. It took a while and they stayed late after closing to make sure everything got sorted out. I left with insurance papers and a plate so I'm one satisfied customer. They were friendly and professional and got the job done.
