They need more people on the front desk. The process is painfully slow and there are not enough people to help clear the slow moving backlog. HSBC seems to be far more beurocratic than most other banks.

Just be cautious dealing with HSBC. They are impossibly slow with both mortgages and paying out promotional bonuses. Get ready to wait weeks to hear back for mortgages and over 6 months for promotional payouts. It's incredibly annoying and it can be very very frustrating so be careful.

Constant staff changes nearly impossible to get people at the branch on telephone . A simple change of bank accounts to debit mortgage payments failed numerous times even though branch had all correct information numerous communications with different bank personnel assured me it was banks mistake problem remains unresolved two month later the wise banking experience I have ever had

Tried to arrange for an appointment in behalf of an elderly relative. The woman at the call center (you can never reach branch directly which would be better option) could not find the branch location even though I clearly gave her the street location and intersection as it appears on website. After being put on hold several times I gave up. How hard can this be??!!!

Was worried about opening an account here when I saw the reviews but had a terrific experience with Henry. He went out of his way, was polite, knew what he was talking about and most importantly made me feel comfortable. Glad I chose this branch, thank you Henry!

The worst banking services I have ever experienced. The sullen teller working there in the morning time (she's usually the only teller in the morning time) had no idea how to issue a USD bank draft, and even though it's a pandemic, she intentionally and deeply sighed at me multiple times because the task was quite challenging to her, which is basic for everyone else, though. I had to stand in a line waiting for 50 minutes until she figured out how to do it. Because of the rude and unprofessional teller, I didn't want to use their banking services any more, so I closed all my accounts at HSBC.

I had the worst experience today with this branch. I tried to withdraw money out of the ATM and it spat my card out without any money saying there were technical difficulties. I went into the branch right away and a staff person said she’d fix it and to come back in 15 minutes which I did and tried again with the same experience. I went back in the branch again and this time the manager, Margarita Chung began looking into it and she assured me it was unlikely the debit went through. She told me to go home and check online to see if both withdrawals had happened (as I bank with another institution). Sure enough, the money was taken out of my account but I hadn’t received any cash. The branch manager was completely USELESS! She had to β€œcheck into it” for over 20 minutes even though I suggested she count the money in the ATM and check the camera footage. She refused to help in any way except to say I now had to go to my institution and they would help. I demanded she write a letter I could take with me. All this has taken over two hours and is no closer to being resolved. I have had $200 taken from my account for no reason and HSBC is not being responsive at all! UPDATE: my financial institution stepped in to reimburse me, no thanks to HSBC. They will deal with these useless people for me.

Opened an account here. Henry went an extra mile for us. He was polite, friendly, fun and extremely patient. Other staff also sound nice. Maybe we are lucky today. We haven't had any problem whatsoever mentioned in other reviews.
