$2 for parking now, since the parks opened up so much more, it's easy to understand how much more cleanup is required. Climbing up and down the formations seems like a great idea, but remember try to make as little impact as possible and leave the parks in as pristine condition as you find them. I'd highly suggest visiting, but try to be as low pact as you can.

Horseshoe Canyon is an interesting landscape appropriate for a family walk or day activity. The canyon itself is rugged and fascinating. The two items I would be aware of is the limited parking and limited facility space. If you want to have a pick-nic, be prepared to do so in your car or in the one enclosed space. The parking lot is also tight when busy!

Great place for a family hike. Definitely a choose your own adventure type of hike which could be as easy or as hard as you want to make it. There was a $2.00 charge for parking and the parking was a little limited on a busy day but the attendants will do their best to accommodate. Nice views but their were no fossils for us to be found. No complaints though and will return whem we're in the area.

We camped her to visit Drumheller and environs. This ground is accessible and nice. Every thing you expect from a standard camp ground is present. We had an enjoyable time here.

This is a great little campground with lovely hosts. It is a bit new so the trees were still small; so if you are looking for lots of privacy this might not be for you. We loved the family friendly atmosphere and great location right across from horseshoe canyon (a 1 minute walk from the trails). The camp itself has modest but clean and newer bathrooms. Showers were coin operated and really good value, but my shower was only luke warm (maybe because it was evening?). Amenities included a little playground, a small mini-golf course and a camp store with ice cream and a small selection of meals (think chicken fingers and hot dogs). We loved that it was nice and quiet at night. They are expanding so I will definitely be back to see what is in store.

A great place to stop and have lunch between Drumheller and Calgary. If you are the adventurous type there are a number of hiking trails. A worthwhile stop even just to take pictures of the magnificent canyon.

Nice clean campground right beside the badlands. If you are visiting the museums and such intown it's a bit of a drive though 15-20 minutes. The bathrooms are clean and well kept but if occupied you have to use the main one behind the office and remember a code. Friendly staff and it was a quiet place. And there is no grates for the fire pits.
