In 2020, I contacted him and asked if he could solve and repair our deck, patio, and stairs for us as water had really caused tremendous damage. James came around, assessed the situation, provided a plan for building a French drain and fixing the issues we had. We highly recommend James at HOPESTONE Construction & Restorations for your exterior needs.

I was impressed with James's approach to the work to be done. He explained what needed to be done and why it needed to be done.With the job finished he and his crew thoroughly cleaned up the site. I have other work here and when winter ends, I hope he will come to deal with these other tasks. James is very professional and a pleasure to work with. Thanks James

I will post the 2nd review later. So very happy to find James!!! He has finished our chimney repairs and waterproofing the foundation in 3 weeks. He was always already to answer any questions and explained the progress. He has excellent organization skill and he manages his teams very well. Our contract was very well written in details so we understood everything he did. Despite of commuting more than 2 hrs daily from Barrie to Toronto, James was always on time and be at the site when needed. We are so happy with James, we have already booked him for the spring project.

First time was outdoor work with a new front entrance way and a brick repair. Still looks beautiful and it’s been 2 years. Second time was a demo of a kitchen ceramic floor with wire mesh. I can’t say enough about how hard he works. The professionalism , punctuality, fairness and for me most importantly you can trust him! Very happy to recommend him for any contract job you have in mind.

As someone who values clear communication and attention to detail, James exceeded my expectations on every level. His knowledge far exceeded the service I initially contacted him to quote and as a result he solved many other issues I was having that required attention before listing my property for sale. We initially started with the restoration of a damaged stucco/concrete facade and quickly realized that the bricks underneath were deteriorating. James removed all of the old bricks, replaced them, reinforced the walls and matched the repaired sections to the existing sections of the facade seamlessly. He went above and beyond to fix other deficiencies, knowing that I was weeks away from listing the property for sale.
