Great experience with this company from start to finish. Quick response to my online inquiry, good communication before and up to the appointment with notification when tech was on his way. Tech was on time and very professional, explained everything he did and gave a good run down of the state of my very old AC unit. I will definitely use this company again.

Haven't used Hometown before and if we weren't moving to Woodstock we certainly would use them again and we would recommend them to everyone we know.

I am a electrical technologist and my job is to test and troubleshooting electrical equipment and repair. I also teach electrical troubleshooting. I’ve been very busy recently so asked Hometown heating to come in to troubleshoot and repair the propane heater in my barn. We were told by the technician that the blower motor was bad. The technician left and told us that he will check the cost of the motor and it may be cheaper to buy new unit. When I got home from work my wife told me what the technician said. I did not believe it so I troubleshoot the unit myself, at 10:00pm, to find out it was a sticky β€œsail switch”. I contacted hometown heating and discussed this with them. I understand that they did come out to look at the unit which is worth some value but what I paid for was a faulty diagnosis. Should I really have to pay for the visit. I’m lucky I caught this I could have been into potentially a lot of money. Now I was told that if they installed something I didn’t need I wouldn’t be charged for it however how would I know. I’m not condemning hometown heating they may offer great service however the technician who came to troubleshoot definitely needs some schooling. All I did to find answer to my problem was to read the flashing code off the control board. Had a code of 1. After that used google to get my answers. I do understand the employment crisis now in that company’s are having trouble to get people to work. Just an FYI. Peter. Update: Home town heating did contact me and reimburse me for the visit. It’s not what the company does when things are going smooth that makes a company reputable, it’s what they do when things aren’t going well. I take my hat off to Hometown heating for following through and making things right thank you.

The problem was intermittent, it took three attempts. The furnace would run for a time shutdown and start up again. They checked pressure, looked for blockage,and checked all the safety. At one point there were three testers monitoring and the furnace did act up many times for them. First they adjusted the fan speed. Second time they found the main board was lossing power. It ended being corrosion in the gas valve and it solenoids. They spent around 6hr. And did not charge me for the main bord!! The job was a challenge !

Riley came out on time, took notes in the job I was looking at them to doing and looking for a quote, had a nice talk with Riley, seemed very sincere, and was told I would get a quote by end of day, I even called later in afternoon, and was told I would definitely get my quote by end of day!! Here we are couple weeks past, I never called back, I trusted what Riley said that they were highly recommended, and great reviews. But I never heard back!! I guess my business is not important, I don't know, never had a company come do a quote snd never send it. I'm very disappointed with this company and would not refer them to anyone. Don't worry Hometown, I got a awesome company to come and do the job, when they said!!

The best. My heating system was not working. Called Hometown. They were here in less than 2 hours. They had to order a new control board. Justin left us with a couple of portable heaters. Doug showed up the next morning and installed the new control board. We stayed warm all night. Communication was perfect. Can't say enough good things. Thank you

Doug was professional and knowledgeable. I had him change the natural gas connection for my BBQ. He explained everything he did, made sure the BBQ was working, and made sure I understood everything. Definitely would recommend hometown heating and cooling, and would use them again!

We found ourselves without heat on a Tuesday evening. They came out Wednesday morning and Doug was very thorough. He showed me the issues and considering our unit was 26 years old, we decided to get a new system. We received a call from the office that somebody would be out within the hour for a quote. Riley came out that afternoon and rearranged plans to do so. Again took his time explaining everything and stated he would send me the quote shortly. I received the quote within the hour, and installation two days later. The installation crew was friendly and courteous. Start to finish an amazing company! We have a brand new HVAC system and couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend! Thank you Hometown!
