★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shipp came to my house with a snake to unblock my kitchen drain that was blocked with grease. Their snake did not work so both Shipp and I called Drain Heroes. They unblocked my drain in 5 minutes with the right snake. I was left with a bill from Shipps for 95.00 for service and 50.00 for their snake called Power Pak which did not work. Total 163.85 for nothing. I paid Drain Heros on the spot but not Shipps. They should not say they can unblock drains when they do not have the right equipment. And also charge for a snake that doesn't work!!!! Deserved 0.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The short version is my insurance sent these guys in to diagnose a problem with my furnace and ac not working. They were fast at coming in and the tech at first glanced seemed good. They took a quick look at both units and said it was most likely a leak im the ac line and that the blower in the furnace was busted. He then went on to say it would be a pain to fix so he hopes they just want to replace it.
It then took them over a week to submit paperwork to our insurance which they told our insurance it wasn't fixable due to the units age which was not what their tech told us.
After weeks of fighting with our insurance after that they finally sent a tech from a different company who actually opened the furnace to find that something malfunctioned on the furnaces control board cause the board to burn out and pop a transformer.
A hour job under $500 with this other company would of costed us almost $10000 with Jim Shipp avoid at all costs. The other companies tech told us this is a scam many small companies use to sell new furnaces and ac units and from my experience with them they will scam you first chance they get

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used Jim Shipp last year to do my boiler maintenance for the year, and had a few estimates on future work to complete a project of getting heat to the newly constructed 3rd floor space.
This year rolled around, and they came to do the maintenance and quote the work as discussed last year, but left without actually completing the job. Then they tried to bill me, did not have an estimate for future work, and blamed it on my disabled wife (without having phoned me about any issues at the time). They even sent me an email telling me they would not be coming to my residence again to do any more work (but still insisted I pay for the unfinished job).
I was insulted, my house not warm as it should be, and after arguing they agreed not to charge (no kidding!).
Do not use Jim Shipp Heating and Plumbing unless you want to be abused.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greetings , We have used Jim Shipp plumbing services for many home disasters. They have a well trained staff to get your house back on its feet. Josh greets us with a smile & makes quick work of every plumbing problem we throw his way & installed a new water softner. The most current disaster brought gas fitter Steve to our door. He had the water heater back in action in under a hour. Lastly I mention Kathy on front desk . The star of the operation. She is always pleasant & offers sound advice . We recommend this crew every time !
