Holiday Inn Express & Suites Woodstock South, an IHG Hotel

WARNING!!! THIS HOTEL HAS BED BUGS!!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! We checked out this morning at 3:30AM due to being eaten alive and not being able to sleep. I have an allergy to bug bites and have since I was a kid, so they're swelling up and very uncomfortable! They haven't done anything for me, no refund, not even a room change was offered! So we checked out at 3:30, didn't enjoy a nice sleep or the breakfast they serve. What a nightmare! Do not come here and definitely do not book from Hopper! It's all a giant headache!!

This review is not for a room but for a group booking. We booked the conference room/Pool for our Family Christmas. Wish we had done this before! Staff is fantastic, better than the 5 star Adults only Resort my husband and I had recently travelled to. Too many positive interactions to mention them all, but we definitely felt pampered. Staff in the front lobby had a sign up directing guests to the lower level pool/conference room area. We received a key card to access the pool and handed it in when we were finished. The pool room was a comfortable temperature and so was the pool. Having a lifeguard as part of our package meant we could also use the slide, and it was a big hit. The conference room was clean and neat, and fully set up for our use, including a TV that came in handy to entertain a toddler. The location is excellent for ordering food as there were tons of restaurant options for our family members to pick from. And when one hated her choice, it was a quick phone call to grab her something else, saving the day. It was quiet and private as we had the conference/pool area to ourselves. There is a change room in the pool area, and bathrooms outside the pool/conference room area. These again were clean, neat and up to date. There was lots of parking and we found it easier to move the cars to the back and for our family members to exit the pool level with all their children and gifts when we were done our party and then hand in our key card at the front desk. We will definitely have to book here again. Woodstock is very lucky to have a hotel of this caliber and my husband and I will definitely be praising it to everyone we can.

BED BUGS! ROOM 507 AND 308. Our friends stayed here and video called us to show us the bugs and the bites. Meanwhile the hotel is arguing basically saying they brought them. I've personally stayed in their home and it is so clean, no bugs! The service at this hotel is the most unpleasant. I hope other people don't have to go through what our friends went through. They weren't even treated like guests! Just treated like dirt.

Very nice stay. The pool is small but nice and has a water slide. I just wish there was seating around the pool. The room was very nice and clean. They were very accommodating to our requests.

Really poor customer service. The parking lot was extremely sketchy. There is a bar next door and there were creepy guys hanging out right next to my car. I did not feel safe. I’m a spire elite member and they refused to give me points because it was booked through my office. I understand that’s against the policy but literally every other hotel still gives me points. The bedbug test was negative however when I woke up in the morning there was a roach in my sink. As I investigated further I found another 2 roaches in the bathroom. Avoid.

What a surprising and pleasant stay my family had at the Holiday Inn. The venue was clean, quiet and met expectation. The value for the price we paid definitely hit 5 stars for us. If you come through this area, I think you will find this a great value for your family

We are a construction company in Mississauga, and we had some of our guys stay a few nights at this hotel for a job we did up in Tillsonburg. This hotel was great! the service was fantastic, anything we needed or had changed was done with no issues. Each employee member of this hotel we had dealt with, was completely accommodating and understanding. The rooms were very tidy and clean. Check in and check out was a breeze. Next time we need a hotel up in Woodstock, this is where we will be checking in.

This hotel was exceptional! The beds/pillows are really comfortable and the jacuzzi room was amazing! We really liked how we were able to cast Netflix to the TV directly from our phones! The hotel did a great job of still providing the free breakfast even during COVID. We filled out a form and the food was waiting every morning at the specified time. Every staff member was also very polite and helpful! I would definitely stay here again in the future!
